Lao Huo Tang - Century Square

Ginseng Chicken Soup was very salty, very little ingredients too :( salted egg chicken was so-so and not creamy. Tofu with minced meat was nice. Overall, the quality of the food did not match the high price. I hope the soup is done better next time!

This used to be one of my favourite dining spots in Tampines, but because of your lousy service and attitude I will NEVER dine here again. I advise this store to train your staff including the manager how to do proper customer service, else you will lose many customers. This store seems to have a complete new team of staff, absolutely horrified by the bad service today. Absolutely LOUSY service. Stood at the entrance for a good 5 minutes, multiple waitresses saw me but all didn’t attend to me. Instead, the store manager went to serve a couple who came later than me first?? Once I am seated, I waited but no menu or utensils were given, the waitress just walked away. I had to ask for it. After I placed my order I had to ask 3 times where is my soup, while waitresses served food to people who ordered later than me. Asked for my soup to be served, the waitress said ok wait and proceeded to walk away without doing it. This repeated 3 times. What’s going on?? Get ignored by store manager, have to ask to be brought to a table, ask for utensils, ask for my soup multiple times and get ignored by multiple waitresses.. what is the service charge for if your customer service is like this?? Patronise this store if you want SUPER BAD service to ruin your meal.

Lao Huo Tang has a variety of soup, and once you finished the soup you can have one time free refill, but just the soup, not the ingredients. The other dishes are also good, like the sweet and sour pork, but the portion is a bit small. Their yam rice is very nice, better than plain rice.

Great service. The watercress soup is very rich, tasty and savoury. A free top-up of the soup is given on request. Overall good experience and we will back again when we get a chance just to try out the other dishes.

Soup is reallllly flavourful; dont know if it was over nourishing. The creamy pork is nice. Horfun came with 3 prawns! Generous. But taste is ordinary. Will come back to try other soups. As for their waitresses, all were efficient and friendly!

Nice selection of Chinese soups with that home cooked feel. Great way to keep count of your calories intake. Haven't tried other dishes because we weren't that hungry.

1st time here after hearing multiple good comments on the soups. Generally nice experience and soups are tasty. Salted Duck was a tad salty towards the end but is appetizing with rice 十全chicken soup wasn’t as thick as expected but the portion of meat is huge. Seafood Horfan was the best along todays order. My go-to place whenever I have cravings for Chinese soups in the East. The soups were rich in flavour and they are all refillable once. The selection of side dishes were really delicious, however the way it is cooked may differ depending on the outlet. Do come early if you are intending to have it for dinner as some soup may be out of stock at around 8pm.
