Nice place, very instagrammable. Amazingly clean and organized despite the fact it was full on the weekend. If you are thinking about coming here on the weekend to study - don’t. We could not find any seats free during the afternoon times.

Very accessible, just nearby from Somerset MRT Station and Orchard Road. The Library is well-managed and organised. You can clearly see a panoramic view of books with diverse contents! A great and peaceful hideout from the outside noisy streets.

Libraries are always a good getaway from the hustle and bustle of a metropolitan city like Singapore and I am glad there is always one near a MRT station or within a shopping mall. This one in particular is near Somerset MRT station, occupying 2 levels in a corner of Orchard Gateway. Entry into this insta-worthy space is currently restricted to the 3rd floor. This library has a nice view of the busy Orchard Road if you want to pick a spot facing the floor-to-ceiling glass windows with all the natural light but without the tropical heat. The unconventional layout of curvy shelves created a sense of privacy and intrigue as you cannot see the end of the bookcase. There is also a popular stairway between the 3rd and 4th levels for social media worthy picture with stunning background... Who would think bookshelves can be sexy.

Tucked away on level 3 in lesser known Orchard Gateway, 2 levels library@orchard stocks many design books, magazines & creative spaces. It is also the most instagramable library in Sg as you can imagine. A very pleasant library with green views of orchard though limited seats with table space.

A super cool and accessible library known for its design related resources. There’s always ample seats and everything is kept clean and tidy. However at the back end of the top floor (see photo) is always noisy? Somehow I always hear people knocking on doors and loudly asking for the librarian- which then leads to even louder and long conversations??‍♀️

Dropped by here when I was walking around Orchard Central on a weekend afternoon. Quite surprised this the library here is not that packed as compared to the neighbourhood ones where people will camp out and getting ready to snatch the tables for their project work and assignments even before the library officially begin their operations. The library here is very quiet and serene. One of the library with interesting and unique interior design. The bookshelves are uniquely designed. There is plenty of tables and chairs for you to do your work or if you just want to chill out after your shopping trips at Orchard central. On level 2, after you walked up the spiral staircase, you'll be able to find single chairs that is facing a pretty nice scenery. Overall, I will definitely recommend you to drop by the library if you're around the area just to soak into the atmosphere and probably just sit down a read a book....or if you're tired after a long walk plus shopping with your girlfriend.. Haha.

Orchard Library is my favorite library because of the location, environment, and of course, the books. I think the location is really splendid because it is in the middle of Singapore so it’s easier for me personally to access. The environment is really nice and spacious. There is a place for students to study in. There are also 2 levels to the library which is very nice because the first level has fiction, books in Malay, Mandarin, and they also have magazines. The second level has books about lifestyle choices, business, cook books, and history books. So there are books basically for everybody and people that have multiple tastes in books. Also, do remember to bring a jacket because Orchard Library is one of the coldest libraries I’ve been to. At level 2 if you sit in specific seats there is a really nice view of buildings, trees, and the road. I really like the shape of the shelves, they are kind of twisty. There are also some shelves that you have to use a ladder for unless you are super duper tall. Overall it’s a really nice library to read, study, listen to an audiobook and more.
