Went here to register a library membership and i honestly they had such a great customer service. Didnt get a chance to catch the name of the staff helping me with the registration but he was so helpful providing me with several options and alternatives to the registration..kudos to him and the staff there.. the library itself is really serene and quiet its located on the 3rd floor. Though i think this library specifically only has collection of arts music, and theatre related books & dvd. But overall a great experience!

The library felt like a mega music studio. Indeed, there are people using their facilities for jamming, for practising, some are there to immerse in the music CDs. Spacious and relaxing, this is a place for some respite from the city's hustle and bustle. An addition bonus.... here's where you can get a great view of MBS without being in the sun.

Place is clean, tables were aplenty. Beside several tables are charging ports one could use to charge their laptops and mobiles, provided if said person had a wall plug. Surrounding is quiet, good for studying.

A good Library for basic needs and usual visiting purposes like finding and borrowing reference books, or using the space as a quiet area to read. If you're looking to Study with a laptop, do note that proper desk spaces, especially those with access to any power sources within reach are very limited and mostly contained to the left of the reception area when entering. The National Library is probably the place to go if this is what you're after! There are additional spaces without power outlets towards the right wing of the Library facing the Bay.

This library is dedicated to the arts, so you won't find much fiction storybooks. I really like the peaceful & calming studio facing MBS. ❤️

Small & nice library with art/theatre/movie books, DVDs, and small theatre. They also have 10-12 tables and lots of sofas to read. Surprisingly, staffs are quite strict compared to other libraries: no sleep, no nap, no bare foot (must wear your shoes)… Come on, it’s a library for artists & free spirits.

A special library which focus on art. Each zone focus on different form of art, like dance, music, film etc. can use their ‘car audio’ system to listen to music too.

The Esplanade Library is a bit different from other libraries I’ve been to. They have a section (if you go to the right when you enter) for dance, music, and arts. And all the way to the right (after walking a bit) there is a section for sitting down and reading and using computers. They actually have a literal place for dancing which I think is interesting. To the left (when you enter the library) there are books that are more about documentaries. If you go to the left (after passing the tables) and all the way to the left you will see a music studio where you can book the place for a couple of hours online. Just on the right to the music studio there are rooms for people to work on stuff on their computer for a specific amount of time, but you have to make a booking online. I think the Esplanade Library is really good for sitting at one of the tables and just using your computer and working on whatever you’re working on. Not as much for reading unless you like art books, documentaries, films, recorders, and music. The Esplanade Library is actually in a mall but I wouldn’t say that the mall has a lot of stuff. They have a toast box and a few other restaurants but I don’t think it’s that popular of a mall. The location can be a bit far (depending where you are of course) But the Esplanade library is wonderful for you to work on your projects/work/homework/studies on your computer.
