If u rushing for time n want to avoid long queues/peak hrs crowd, and live/work nearby, may consider Little Gobbles. Zi char dishes, nice coffee, friendly service, feel like home, cozy n clean. Have seen great reviews on their Fish Head Curry dish.

β β β β β We had the signature curry fish head which came with lots of veggies, plus a ton of fried beancurd skin which was a nice touch - the server did say that it's only half a fish head, so if you have 4 ppl and order another 2-3 dishes plus rice that should be about right. Portion size is reasonable for a zi char stall.

β β β β β Just had dinner here a couple of nights ago. My wife always wanted you try their fish head curry and the opportunity finally arrived.
She shared the fish head curry with her aunty who truly enjoyed it very much. Not bad for it's price range and definitely very popular.
I had the dry Hor Fun, Ginger Pork and Sambal lala. Everything was pretty good. The flavors were good especially the sambal lala. The hor fun tasted almost like old school kuey teow. The pork was not too bad but not the worst.
Other than that this place is worth the try if you're in the neighborhood.

Simply enjoyed their flavourful dishes at very great price.

β β β β β Son brought us to this cafe in Bukit Timah Shopping Center. Surprise there is a crowd. The food is very local zichar and tasty. And serving is very fast. Went there around February, now the price must have adjusted too. Will definitely visit again.

β β β β β Portions are very very very generous so do keep that in mind if youβre ordering dishes to share. Was recommended by my friend who worked in the building to try their curry fish head, and it turned out pretty decent. The curry was a tad too watery for my liking but the ingredients and portion are generous. The fish used was very relatively fresh and tender. One of this can probably serve at least 3-4 pax in my opinion.
We also had their mee goreng and Gong Bao chicken. Nothing fantastic but decent enough to fill your stomachs. Seasoning in general is on the heavier side. Seats are limited and can get quite crowded during lunch hours.
But just cross the street and you get much more food options, so Iβll probably not return unless for a quick fix!
