β β β β β Order a megasan. The size is big and the portion is big enough resembling those huge california maki combined. But not sure if my combination is not well done, the taste is somehow ok i guess. Maybe will try other combi next time. So far its ok for me. If u like original sushi taste, may not be to your liking cos the various combi makes the taste unique.

β β β β β Usually I like makisan a lot, usually when I preorder, my orders are prepared well before my pick up time even when they are busy. However, I am very disappointed today. I preordered at 4.28pm to pick up at 5.15pm. Obviously I am rushing for time that's why I preorder so that I can just grab and go. But when I reached makisan at 5.25pm, 10min later than my pick up time, my order wasn't even ready! I wouldn't be so disappointed if they are overwhelmed with other orders. However, they haven't even print out my order. There wasn't much orders waiting to be prepared/picked up. When I approached the staff at pick up area, he told the cashier staff who finally went to print out the order slip! Then left for the food preparation staff to prepare. The cashier staff just standing at cashier when there's no customer, the pick up area staff just waiting too. There was no apology, no sense of efficiency, no team work. Hope the process can be improved.

β β β β β Order my food through grab apps. Paste the order receipt at the box so that customer will know which sushi. I ordered 3 boxes with different topping. Which 1 of the box no crab stick due to my hubby having gout. And now me & my daughter eat my hubby sushi. Please lah do your job properly. What if the person have food allergic? Will you take the responsibility? Check what order u received & paste it right after u finish. Or please go to the course if simple packing also donβt know how to do it.

?Price 4/5 ($8.90 for a mega san, good price but it can be cheaper if they get rid of the fancy box it comes in)

?Food 5/5 (you can create your own or buy the house roll, either way it's delicious!)
?Ambience 4/5 (Great place for a casual date or a simple meal alone or with friends and family!)
? Cleanliness 5/5 (Please have the decency to clear your own trays after eating, it's the least you can do. Place is spick and span)

β β β β β Dont know why . Used to be good . But now food doesnt taste nice at all .
Issit because of staffs changes ? Not sure .
Ingredients seemd stale ? Like the fried tempura mushrooms ? And the crunchy tempura bits not crunchy more like soggy . Rice not tightly wrapped as some other commentors have mentioned . Fillings tend to drop out .
Overall its a very very disappointed and awful experience .

β β β β β This is my 2nd time having Maki San after my excellent service at the outlet in Cathay. The portion size this time round is so pathetic as the staff gave me a few of each topping even the vegetables. This is not worth $9.90 at all as they are not sensible with their servings.

A year later, 29 Aug 2021,
Dined in after displaying my proof of vaccination, stall is still very clean and well maintained
Ambience is super pleasant to be in.
The sushi however, took a steep dip down in quality. No longer the generous amount of sauce where it overflows out, the rice is very βMiamβ where thereβs too much water and the seaweed is stale. Had to chew for awhile to tear it down
Came here 3 days later and the problem still existed.
10 Sept 2021, this condition improved when I ordered a delivery! Nori gotten a little more crisp and the rice doesnβt feel like sticky rice now
18 Sept 2021, ordered through GRAB and the sushi delivered were hands down, one of the worst maki-san sushi I've ever tried. Rice is way too off the chart and nori is completely stale, so stale their sushi cutter can't even finish it off. The ebi fry in my Mega-san is bad too, felt like it was placed there for the whole day

β β β β β Had been eating salads from various outlets and their standard has been consistent. Usually I will go for their lettuce, mandarin oranges, peaches, tempura, and definitely their delicious Japanese wasabi mayonnaise as the salad dressing. It will do nicely as a light meal if you are not looking to have a filling meal.
