Misato - 176 Orchard Road #01-33E The Centrepoint (Gastro+

Simply amazing, to be frank, besides this Misato, I can only think of Mikuni in Swissotel Singapore that is comparable and has the taste of Japan, granted there are many good japanese restaurants in Singapore but somehow something is missing. Anyway, the food here is really awesome, takes time to prepare in perfection but it's worth the wait. The only cons is the wait time but you know, good food takes time to prepare. Highly recommended and I will come back regularly when possible! And yes, affordable prices too!

Went to misato for a Friday dinner for 2, by 7pm there is a long queue so it will be good to queue as early as 6pm if possible. The restaurant is relatively small so the ambience is kinda cosy if the crowd doesn’t get too rowdy :) We ordered oyakodon, Ebi donburi, chawanmushi, yakitori n matcha. The food is all good in general! I like the complementary appetisers and the ebi was super fleshy ? matcha was not overly bitter, yakitori was just normal to me perhaps I’m not that into bbq, the egg patty on the bowls were pretty good to eat even though it looked liked it was microwaved lol. I’ve tasted better ones. I’m suspecting it would taste better if it were fried on a pan like in my previous visits precovid. Presentation of the food was really good with exquisite cutlery. But they don’t offer tissue anymore and only wet tissue. For the price of 80-ish I would say the value and taste is pretty upz and service is also very good though I think they should fry their egg patties n offer matcha with a bit more ‘fancy’ like in the past since they charge $10 for it. 4 stars cos the taste is alright n maybe I didn’t order their star dishes. Don’t come here if you are starving or in a rush. May come here again

Good for value Japanese food with excellent service. We had katsu don, okonomiyaki, nabe, prawn tempura and chicken karage. The matcha is awesome as well, very authentic experience. Shoutout to Joan Ong for correcting our order, giving us first class service and a great experience.

Very fancy tableware. Food is nothing to shout about. Couple of the dishes had very long waiting time even after it is served at the table. Food nothing extra fantastic, wish it had proper sashimi/sushi. Seriously over fancy tableware, gimmicky.

A not very big Japanese restaurant in Centrepoint which served very delicious and well portion Japanese foods ?? Every order came with beautiful & unique plates & bowl, even their usual beer glass, fork, spoon & chopsticks also very unique & pretty! Foods were fresh and well cooked, we especially loves the Yakitori, and cannot get enough of that! Every stick was so well bbq and juicy meat, hoping they have order for more sticks in 1 order in future ? will be back for sure cos so many foods were already sold out in Sat afternoon.

Misato offers a variety of Japanese food served in very elaborate utensils that are aesthetically pleasing to the eye (and camera).The food quality is top notch with lower pricing comparing to other Japanese food of its level. To me they serve the best cold noodles! Do expect to queue as there are often queues between 30-60mins wait time at their opening hours.

The food here is consistently good. I have returned for my favourite mixed fried set multiple times. You can taste the quality of the ingredients used and feel the care and thought put into the presentation and combination of taste for each dish. This place is truly a gem and i love it!

The dishes are very good and the price point makes every dish value for money for the amount of ingredients given in each dish. The okonomiyaki took the longest as observed by other tables too but it brought us back to the ones in Osaka. We really enjoyed the food & will definitely return. However, we do hope that there can be proper baby high chair with seat belt & tray provided for young family. My 15month old was asked to sit on the booth seat which we declined because he recently fell from a booth seat in another restaurant. Also management of dishes served per table can be improved as almost all the tables are served 1 dish & have the rest of the patron(s) of each table waiting for their dish to be served & this way made the turnover of their tables to be very slow, if they try to serve everyone on each table first then that table would be able to finish up faster & leave for more efficient turnover.
