Less heavy on the palettes, fresh and thick slice of fish. Friendly owner. Taste nicer than those famed one.

Fish slices are fresh and generous. The soup has the richest umami in it. Stall owners are super friendly! :)

You want to have nice batang fish soup in town? You must try Mr Batang Fish 96 stall. This stall serve very fresh batang fish meat and the most amazing thing, it’s not expensive. I was introduced to this stall by a very friend and ever since I will always want to eat from this stall. If you want to visit this stall, remember to be early because from 11:30 am onward the queue will be snaking around. As I am writing this I am already think as when I should revisit this stall.

They get a good amount of customers but this place is underrated! The soup is so flavourful and balanced, fish is really fresh and of food texture. Price is reasonable. One of my favourite fish soup place!

This is the trifecta stalls of fish soup in Amoy food centre with Han Kee and Piao Ji. Husband and wife owners are super friendly and don't skimp on their fish potions as well. Fish is super fresh and succulent and soup base is sweet and flavourful. Mr Batang Fish also has a distinctful tangy chill sauce that is very addictive.(Taste similar to Bai Nian Yong Tau Foo chilli sauce). If you are tired of eating Han Kee, Mr Batang Fish definitely won't lose out as their fish silences are also equally meaty thick and fresh as well. Mr Batang Fish, Han Kee and Piao Ji really are the triple gem fish soup stalls of Amoy. Lovin them all!!

Tried Han Kee and Mr Batang Fish consecutively and I actually prefered Mr Batang Fish! Soup was tastier and fish portion was comparable. The aunty taking orders is friendly and accommodating, allowing me to try both normal and fried fish. Although they are also quite popular already, I still find it underrated. Will come back again :)

Although it's already past 1pm, the queue to this fish soup stall is still quite long. They have also been quite known as a alternative to the other famous fish soup stall at Amoy. Decided to brave the long queue and wait patiently for my turn. Ordered sliced fish soup with rice but sadly, they have run out of rice for the day. So change to the option of noodles (you mian) instead. Soup is on the savoury side with a hint of sweetness. Fish are sliced thickly too. Nice simple lunch.

Sliced fish soup with Yee mee! The soup is super nice: fresh, savory, sweet at the same time. Fish is fresh! Aunty was super nice too. A strong contender against the other famous stalls here, without the long queue.
