Meats was really tender and fantastic , best of all , there's ICE to go with your drinks which is not common in small store like these. Service was also fantastic, I requested for covers and extra ice for my drink and they were very nice to help me eventhouuge there's a number of other customers. Price wise it's maybe a bit pricey for some , but it's really worth it. I bought the 3 combination for $7.50 which was really filling . The chili was really good too, would definitely come again

Recommended if you can ignore their bad customer service. When Nguan first started out, the service staff were friendly. Now some of them (the old guy and the chap with side-parting) doesn't greet you anymore, and they pull a black uninterested face. I guess success does breed a certain arrogance. But the food is still quite tasty though, if the bad customer service hasn't spoilt your appetite yet. Once the food dips to (below) average levels, we can wait for the opening of another new store. Updated 9 Sep 2021. I decided to go and get steamed chicken rice from the shop again. Like mentioned preciously, the food is “not bad”. The bad service people are gone, and… are replaced with the same type of people again!! The guy at the counter is most probably mute/dumb (sarcasm intended) and has zero facial muscles (sarcasm intended again for those who cant catch it). I am truly surprised at the longevity of this store.

Most of what they sell tastes bad in my opinion. I'm surprised their review is above 3 stars.

The charsiew rice is ok, but most staff are unhappy to work so they have damn poor service attitude. 1 pack of rice comes with 1 pack of chilli, you won't get extra chilli pack when you request, even they have many chilli packs.

Taste is probably not the selling point . I've been buying their stuff on and off for a while . Usually single portions It's not gourmet for sure . But the portions are decent for what you paid for . So if you ask me my 4 stars is really because of the price to portion ratio . I usually buy my stuff at boonlay or pioneer because of the drinks. Decent deal to have a barley or lime drink for $0.50 like I said, 4 stars for the price really It's not a restaurant. I think there is an odd expectation of expecting humility from some of the other reviews with the mentioned amount paid . I havent seen cheery expressions so far but my interactions have not encountered any rude behaviour directed at me . They're clearly helpful in a straightforward dour manner when I asked for help. Staff reaction to me is fast and attentive. Anyone who stays there knows how some of the staff at the Mart and prata store needs you to shout for service

I ask for oil rice, they give me whit rice, I ask for less fat meat part, they give me fat part. What kind of service is this? Truly bad experience. Will be the first and the last

Bad attitude and service, the man who chopped the chicken looks like you have owe him $100k, if the boss let these kind of employee service attitude go on, this shop cant last long. $6 for this portion of chicken. Definitely will go to the below kopitiam to buy if they opened. Wouldn’t buy again from it, meat wasn’t fresh and feeling texture isn’t right.

The chicken burger has its secret sauce no wonder there is a big poster to highlight it. Selling at $2, the burger is surprisingly delicious. The finger food is freshly fried with varieties of fishballs, nuggets, seaweed chicken and sausages.
