★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Noodles look and feel handmade, and the tau fu is quite refined. Chilli is quite spicy, so watch out (but I love spicy food so I was happy to sweat it out here)!
The stall looks out into an airy canteen - a lovely space with scandi-chic tables placed generously apart.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Signature Hakka Noodle Set with Fried Chicken Wing. It's not often you hear successful restaurants closed down and the owner reopened with a hawker fare but the Pandemic and the desire to serve Hakka delicacies makes 2 good reasons to do so. They are not your bai nian as the yong tau fu is pretty decent and their fried chicken super succulent but its broth and noodles still have room for improvement.

Hakka Noodles with Scholar Soup. I previously reviewed their Hakka noodles which I was not really impressed. But their scholar soup is really quite good and I might say the real hero dish served here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw on YouTube. Came a few weeks ago. Sold out. Sian.
So this time Came around a bit before noon. No line. A few moments after, got line.
So?
Come before noon on a Saturday.
Got the YTF with chicken. Super Shiok. $8.80. Chicken also nice and crispy. Noodles ? super nice. Texture nice. Taste nice. Chili must have. Soup is mild in flavor but very nice. Spinach leaves nice. Daikon radish nice. Like Chinese oden ?
Red wine chicken ? $8.00 also not bad. Wine ? flavor was a bit strong, but niiice. Sooo much chicken ?. Noodles different from the YTF, a bit thinner and not egg based. Good texture.
Got paynow ePay yey

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Is was quite disappointed. Ordered their rice wine noodle which taste very difference comparw to the one I had eat since young, and I'm a born Hakka. The Hakka noodle was so so only. Only the braised pork rice can consider as good. Probably never going to eat again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Signature Hakka Noodles was incredibly overpriced at $7 for the five small pieces of yong tau foo, which tasted stale. One of the crab-stick ‘skin’ looking thing was paper-thin and bland. There was also an elongate brown thing that was too hard/dense. The saving grace was the noodles, which had the perfect texture and taste. I might return just for this.
I returned to try the red wine chicken noodles and asked the staff if it is available. She gave me an awkward look like I was asking a stupid question while replying Yes. She then said the chicken is not ready yet and asked if I still want it. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Monday lunch. The wait was about 20min.
Noodles was good, springy, and also the nice toss with lard, minced meat and some soup in the mix. Comfort food.
However, despite the mention of us having allergy to prawns/ shrimps, staff wasn't too sensitive with the ingredients. The chili paste in the noodles tasted to have shrimp in its mixture. I must say it smells good but we had to move it aside.
The same happened to the chicken wings that came with it. It smelled like har cheong in the marination. Unfortunately, we took a bite. We had to stop. It will be nice to let us since you are aware of the allergy. A point that noted, chicken was fried pretty dry.
The YFT was well done, paste was well packed and stuffed. But selection is rather few to enjoy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time here. I ordered the Hakka noodles with yong tau foo dry with 1 piece of chicken wing and red wine chicken rice noodle soup with egg. Both are nice. Springy and QQ noodles, red wine chicken were tender with balanced mix of red wine in this bowl of flavourful soup. Would be perfect if the red wine soup could be less salty. I would visit again. Great taste overall.
