This place packs a really long queue during it's morning opening hours, so it's recommended to come early if you don't want to queue that long! Prices are really affordable as well and the dishes are really nice! I love the porridge as well, really good if you want a meal that isn't too heavy! Store owners really friendly too!

Great place for good old porridge. Comfort food at its best. The long queue of middle aged patrons is telling of the quality and standards of this stall. Interestingly, the payment for this place works on a trust basis. You call for the lady boss to make payment after you are done with the meal and the tray collector will come by to collect the empty plates. I loved the bittergourd dish, meshed prawn dish and duck meat to accompany with the delicious porridge. This place is so popular it sells out within two hours from when it opens in the morning. That means its opening hours is usually from 11 to 1pm. It would have sold out by 1pm and closed for the day.

Recommended by colleague.. short operating hour. If u go abit too late like 1+ many dishes would be sold out. The vendor has pride over his food. When the fish is deem is not too nice/fresh enough to be sold, he won't sell you even when you insist. Order 3 dishes and 1 porridge for myself today. I handed the vendor $10 & received $5.70 change. So I won't say this stall is "cheap" looking at the choice of food I ordered. But will still patron as they are very friendly vendors. For group sharing, best is to sit near the stall, shall you need to add more dishes, it will be more convenient for the vendor to do so (jump Q and order, and you can be served). And also, they usually bill you after you finished. Location " This stall is facing the road in the Hawker Centre.
