โ โ โ โ โ I wonโt recommend. Portions are small. Their Chap Chye was bitter, Babi Ponteh was tough (Cos itโs not pork belly) and Ngo Hiang is squash and mushy. They really need to ventilate the restaurant cos it has a funny smell.

โ โ โ โ โ Place was okay for Peranakan food.
Went there for a weekday for dinner and it was packed, I believe it was due to a corporate booking. Lucky we managed to get seats.
Ordered several dishes and the staff forgot one of the dishes, the Assam Babi. Was expecting an Assam Babi with more gravy and tender meat. However, the Assam didnโt have the sour taste and the meat was rather tough.

โ โ โ โ โ Yummy old school flavours.
It was a quiet night, yet the nostalgic aroma and taste of the peranakan dishes was so comforting!

โ โ โ โ โ This place has tradition Peranakan interior settings. Inside have some nostalgic smell when you are inside (not all can accept it). The food is so so but the itek sio is good. The duck meat is small and tender. The beancurd is good. Something different (but donโt seems Peranakan). The otah is disappointing, dry on some portion as per picture. The fish was fried and then drenched with chilli. Not too spicy.
Overall the food is ok but I wouldnโt say itโs really Peranakan food but more towards food with Peranakan with local style.

โ โ โ โ โ This is a small restaurant far away from MRT station. Parking is also limited. We had to park some distance away. We arrived earlier than the opening time and had to wait outside of the restaurant. I actually thought we were at the wrong place coz the stone bench was dirty and there were a few unkept potted plants. The exterior looked abit like deserted. Nonetheless, when the door finally open at 6pm...we stepped into a totally different world. The interior is nothing like what we've seen outside the restaurant. It has this traditional Peranakan look. Food is so so. Portion is tiny for the price we had to pay. My favorite dish would be the curry fish head. Total damage is $213.63. Here's a quick breakdown of the cost:
Curry fish head - $30
Assam prawn (med) - $28
Assam sotong (med) - $18
Half Nonya duck - $18
Babi ponteh (med) - $16
Chap chye (med) - $12
Otak otak (ร2) - $12
Rice (ร7) - $10.50
Lemon grass tea (ร5) - $20
Lime juice (ร2) - $7
Soft drinks (ร4) - $10
Tax, service charge..etc - $32.13
Total damage - $213.63

โ โ โ โ โ The food is not so tasty or authentic. A bit diluted.... The chap chye veggie is in a small size clayport that costs $16 and does not taste that authentic at all. Overall is very disappointing.

โ โ โ โ โ Second time here. Food was generally good. Felt like good old family dishes. Only issue we had was the durian chendol. Expected real durian bits but it was just durian ice cream. Hope they can be clearer in the menu.

โ โ โ โ โ This Peranakan restaurant is probably the only one left along Katong. It's housed in a very charming and rustic old shophouse and the interior quite dated but very Nonya styled. The food we find it so-so. We had 3-4 dishes, I didn't take picture of every one but I'd say they are rather unimpressive.
