Privé Katong - 112 East Coast Road #01-28

Terrible food at an outrageous price. Seafood Laksa tasted very ordinary and they seem to use frozen prawns and squids. Linguine tasted terrible. Sauce was watery and sour. Manager said its sour because it's cashew based. Sour cashew sauce? Portion is very small for the price charged but just as well since I couldn't bring myself to take more than 2 bites and I generally hate wasting food. Suffice to say I won't be returning to this place again. Utterly disappointed.

Crew was clueless and kept mixing out on orders. Food was being pass around throughout the restaurant from table to table. Which in my opinion isnt very hygienic as some patrons are having a very enthusiastic conversation without mask on while food is going from their table to another table. Food wise isnt so good as well, poor quality of food, food isnt fresh. And food was burnt too. (Unsure the sausage (one of the many burnt item on the plate) is supposed to be in this charred manner. Not a good experience to be honest. Will think twice about coming back again. I have always thought Prive was a good establishment to begin with (with reference to the paragon and wheelock branch). But here at katong it has disappointed us alot, where i think i am not the only one (see other reviews). Prive @ katong, you might want to step up your game especially if your immediate neighbour (on your left) is up and coming!

The food was excellent and the service was very good. P.S. I like the ham a lot

Had dessert here and was quite a disappointment. The picture showed a red velvet cake but doesn’t taste like one. Made a feedback and their service recovery is good as they didn’t charge us for the cake.

Quite consistent with the rest of the reviews here. I think this is one outlet where they dropped the ball, big time. Whole staff behaved like they had better things to do and more engrossed with talking to each other than servicing customers. Unlike the other reviews, the food we ordered was okay. Not great, just okay. Will be sad to see a good brand being sullied by one outlet.

If ever come to this Prive, please don't order the Slipper Lobster linguine. There was so little effort put into making the sauce. The taste is so 2 dimensional, like the chef forgot salt or spice or something. We also ordered the samosas and they were basic store bought type of samosas. We had to prompt for our drinks. They served our drinks so late that we were alr half way or almost done with our food. The wait staff was trying their best though, love that energy. But the quality of the food is so low, no one should be paying over 20 dollars a plate for this mediocrity.

I am happy that Privé has a restaurant in our neighbourhood, in the newly renovated 112 Katong. We went there for dinner. Privé has interesting food, both local and international. Some of the items are healthy, others not exactly healthy, but good. Design of the restaurant is unique, and interesting. Hope Privé will be doing well in this new location serving the people of Katong,

Wonderful location that’s unfortunately let down by the quality of food. As with other reviews, the laksa’s ingredients were bad even by frozen food standards. The fish and chips were overdone and the fish was really dry. Rest of the food were ok. With the amount of other cafes around the area, it’s not hard to see why the reviews for this place is only 2+ stars while most others are above 4. The quality of food does not justify the price. Many many other choices within walking distance.
