Provocative Hair Couture - 50 E Coast Rd

Purchased a Shopee digital voucher for a Senior Director Hair Cut here. Redemption was fuss-free, and I was ushered to my seat by the friendly and courteous male assistant. The stylist cum shop owner JC then came over and was chirpy at first. I showed him a photo of the hair and fringe length I wanted – taken right after my last haircut. I specifically mentioned to him not to cut my side fringe short. He acknowledged it with a resounding, "Of course!" In the midst of ranting about local politics (and asking why I wasn't expressive in debating about it with him), his scissors snipped at my left earlobe and he muttered a quick apology. The more he talked however, the more furious he got with the scissors, especially when he got to the front. He snipped gingerly at first but soon began slicing away at my fringe, before asking sheepishly if he had cut it too short. I didn't have my glasses on and had to squint to see how chopped-off it was. He then added that hair will grow back anyway. My butchered fringe now sticks out of my forehead like botched-up bangs instead of falling over my face as a side fringe. I also spotted wild strands at the side that I snipped off when I got home. His layering technique has left my hair choppy and difficult to manage as well. For his decades of experience, I thought he would pay more attention to hair texture and the customer's concerns. Hard-selling isn't bad here, but I don't see myself getting a $300 package given the bad haircut today. Shopee's after-service was also lacking, and I was unable to edit my review for them on the platform.
