Great experience selling my clothes! The process was fuss free and I didn’t have to wait for long. Also like their business model as it reduces fast fashion waste

First time trying their deposit service - here's my experience! Note to those looking to try this service: It is an ALTERNATIVE to donating, not an outlet to gain big profits or anything like that. [Condensed Review] • drop-off was fast and easy • process communicated well • had preferred brands but was offered less than I expected [Extended Review] Dropping off my items was fast and easy. I was informed through WhatsApp that my items will be reviewed and that they will get back to me in 7 - 14 days. They were detailed and very pleasant in their messages. They got back to me in less than 48 hours! I can't remember exactly how many pieces I deposited, though it should be approximately around 10. (Brands like Pull & Bear, Something Borrowed and MDS.) They offered $5 for 6 of the pieces and said that they will donate the rest to The Salvation Army. I was a little disappointed with the amount, but I was happy knowing at least someone else will get to enjoy the pieces. I did go back to find if any of the pieces have been put up for sale yet, and I saw one of them being sold at $16! (Not sure if that's a fixed price item.) Being offered $5 for 6 pieces of clothing, and seeing one of them being sold for $16 seems a little unfair. (Edit: They replied to my other review that the pieces often go on sale, ranging from $5 to $14 per piece. Taking that into consideration, along with the effect COVID is having on businesses, I think their offer is fair!) If you're planning to try out this service, set your expectations and don't view it as a profitable venture!

Some items only accept as $0.50/ pc, I think just don’t waste time, donate it or give to other people or throw away also better

If there is a REFASH alternative, please advise! Definitely a business who claims they are "doing good" but still VERY profit-minded. I dropped off many clothes that were aligned with the brands they "wanted" - How ridiculous is it that almost 100 pieces of clothing does not even amount to a mere $5?????? Please read the other reviews, many others like myself who has been repeat customers/sellers have been ripped off multiple times. The clothing they resell have high price tags on them, so you can imagine the amount of profit they make off lowballing us. Absolutely disgusting business ethics. There is also little proof that they actually do donate our stuff to Salvation Army.

The whole experience was pretty smooth and fuss free. I dropped off my clothes at the Eastpoint outlet. The staff at the counter was very friendly and advised me what to do as it was my first time. The payment was credited via PayNow over the next few days! Will definitely send more clothes to them from now on.

I have tried Refash many times, and am an advocate of Refash. I love getting my clothes at a reasonable price and extending the shelf life of clothes. However, my experience with Eastpoint's Refash fell flat. I do not have high expectations of the amount that they give but I have been quoted really low, at around $0.50 per piece, and rejecting my other clothes even though they are in good condition (worn less than 2-3x). These clothes are from brands like Love Bonito, MDS, MGP Label, Uniqlo, Nike and Adidas (just naming examples). I understand the biz model and how they are profiting through it, maximising their profits by lowering the cashouts for the sellers. However, I think this outlet is alot more unreasonable and ridiculous with their quotation. Only saving grace is that their service staff is pretty friendly. If not that I stay really far from Eastpoint, I would have collected it back and donated to those in need. Would recommend other outlets instead.

Horrible business ethics. On 6 April I brought 20 pcs garments to sell to REFASH n they accepted 5 pcs for $5. I donated the rest 15pcs after REFASH asked me to. Long story short, today I messaged them regarding the payout becoz I haven’t received any money yet. They replied n told me to wait ANOTHER FEW MORE MONTHS, when the contract stated 60days payout time fm the time I sold to them. Even though it’s only $5, it is business ethics n morals we are dealing with. On the contrary, why can’t they pay out on time no matter what amt ? They are not a charity organization. REFASH always slam us with long replies like they have all the rights to do what they want. I feel I’m treated with no respect n no right. Behave like bully. REFASH’s reply to me was they have “ > 1000 sellers whom are also waiting for payout”. So they breach their 60days term n told me to wait “a few more months”? I’m being bullied. Seemingly they don’t hv enough cash fund. Then they should not accept our clothes! But they did ? In their WhatsApp reply, they even blamed covid19 for breaching. C’mon, they sell old clothes collected n donated locally, no shipping involved. What covid effect?!? Shameless excuse. Tried calling them, no answer of course. But can WhatsApp reply me- “We do not accept calls.” Do I feel cheated? You bet!

Loved the idea of them recycling clothes like that. This is my second time bringing clothes over. Drop-off come clothes but had to do double trips because min. 10 pieces. Accepted pieces offers between $0.50-5 per piece. They will not tell you which are approved and which are not. Is either they take all or take none. Do note that unaccepted pieces not returned. Quite wasted tbh.
