★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were having my brunch at Shabu Sai Northpoint around 21 March 11+ am
We were shocked when halfway through the meal. The Indian guy in a black shirt started yelling at his staff in front of the diners. Maybe the auntie was doing something wrong however he should not reprimand the auntie in public by shouting. He was so arrogant to ignore the explanation given by auntie. Instead, this guy should ask respectfully. Apparently, he hasn’t retained adequate leadership and professionalism. Please have the proper training for this guy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had dinner here last night. Paid a total of $63 inclusive of 2 drinks, gst & svc charge. Decent price for meat slices that remained consistent batch after batch. Meat were tender and fresh, they were not heavy to chow down. Probably the other listed items could have been better and far more interesting like the tofu and meatballs. Seafood werent included in the buffet, you gotta pay for ala carte servings. Drinks were $1 a glass but tasted a little watered-down. Not complaining much just citing reasons for giving them 4 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bad customer service. Did not inform in advance of the timing and was “chased away” by the staff when the so call timing is up. We did not even order food and we’re just trying to finish up whatever was left on the table . Horrible experience as it was my first time it happened in my entire adult life. Not sure if it was due to different culture/customs and totally felt embarrassed and grievances treated by the staff. Feedback to the management through facebook and no respond. Neither will my family nor I to visit this restaurant ever again! Yucks

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad customer service. I am a loyal customer at various branches but honestly the Customer Service at Northpoint is outstandingly bad. They changed the pricing and sometimes certain food on the list can be out of stock. The way the staff explains and clarify the revised pricing and how to order food food, they are easily agitated and give an impatience attitude. Generally the staff there does not mind the restaurant having not much business from the way they provide zero customer service to customer, because it doesn't affect the staff in any way. Its no wonder there was no queue at lunch time, compare to the past. I would rather take my money elsewhere for a more pleasant experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Damn bad service by their poor staff. I having my dinner on Wednesday. Already think twice about this review. But really can’t excuse this. There are few table us free, they arrange me to sit on middle table. But I ask them politely to sit at the last table. They can just make their rude and poor attitude and face to me. One of the short guy I ask any recommendation for making nice sauce. “His reply, you just mix your self, everyone mix themselves”. Soup dried no top up, empty tray no clear. This is how Shabu Sai train your staff ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Horrible customer service with really bad attitude staffs. Went on a weekday, shouldnt be too packed and many tables were empty. 70mins were allocated for us to order our free flow buffet, but was asked to leave shortly after our 70mins ended. Other outlets does not have this issue as its a buffet and who finishes so quickly. Staffs gave us attitude and rolled eyes when we requested for drinks and soup even when we politely said ‘merry christmas’ and ‘thankyou’. One staff even told the other staff some things about us, and the other staff proceeded to send a new customer to our table so we would rush to eat as someone will b sitting at our table. The thing is the whole store was practically 1/4 empty but they refuses to admit the fact that the store is not packed even after clarifying. When we reminded the lady collecting the payment that we ordered a jug of water, she told us that she’s only liable for our payment but was seen serving others shortly after. Really rude staffs that turns me off when i eat, even when they passed us the meat we ordered she tried to squeeze it into our small table without collecting the used trays and plates. We were genuinely confused as to why the staffs would be so rude and attitude-ish, but hopefully the manager does something about it before the reviews here close the store. Would not go back to northpoint shabusai, would recommend others to go to other outlets like vivocity as their service there is WAYYY better. I pay to eat and enjoy, not to see people’s face and ruin my mood. gst was also around $11, not sure why im paying gst for such service. Vegetables also contained unclean dirt and soil when served, are we supposed to wash the vegetables ourselves ? and the whole stalk was served too, so im supposed to prepare it myself? I was hoping not to get food poisoning or ill lodge a complain to Singapore Food Agency. Really really disappointed ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I think this place is quite underrated. The selection is small. Only 3 types of meat. But the limited selection is still done quite well. Vegetables are fresh. Service was quite fast. Buffet for $21 all in is not a bad deal for lunch. Sauce selection was good. Similar to ShiLiFang. Soups were not bad too. Tonkotsu soup was quite thick with collagen ( or milk)? No free water is a bit of a bummer but 50c for a jug is not a deal breaker.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This store was unrated, in terms of the quality of food and pricing.
For the quality and quantity of the food at such a price. It was a steal, if you compared with other restaurants. You could even select just the food, without any drinks selection.
Yes, there were only 5 types of meat available for selection (pork belly, collar, chicken, beef and wagyu beef). But it was enough in my opinion. There were 6 + 1 (promotional black bean soup) selections of soup available, which we would need to select 2 for our soup bases.
The food was great. Loved the seaweed. The noodles was delicious too.
The service was excellent and prompt. The buffet of meat was served to us, quite fast.
Quite place to have a meal.
Oh, there was a dining time limit of 90 minutes, which I felt was more than enough to enjoy a meal.
Strongly recommended!
