Shaw Theatres Lido

Great service from the lady staff at the box office who noticed my elderly parents + long showtime and took the initiative to recommend seats that had convinient access to the toilet. She even guided us on how to get to our seats and was knowledgeable and super helpful when we enquired on the current promotions.

This is one of the few locations in Singapore with an IMAX screen. The best thing about Lido is that they usually have a lot of displays at the entrance especially for big blockbusters. It is perfect for taking photos here. The queue to collect food can be quite long so it is best that you arrive early especially during peak times. The IMAX hall in Lido is undoubtedly one of the largest, if not the largest. The hall is huge. The entrance is the bottom right of the hall. So you have to make your way up to your seats. This is unlike most other halls where you make your way down to your seats (entrance at the top). IMAX is always the best way to watch movies and it is no different here. The sound and picture quality at this IMAX hall is superb. The biggest drawback for this hall is the row which I sat at, row B, smelt really bad. There was a weird smell emanating from the seats/ carpet. The kind of smell that comes from excessive use of disinfectant liquid which unfortunately does not dry in time for the next show. I hope Shaw can allow for more time between showings so that the cinema hall can ‘air’ properly.

Nice theatres! Serve both sweet and salty pop corns, the snack bar service was a little rushed but acceptable. ?? Comfortable seats but wish the sound quality to be better!

My stupid country decided to postpone Thor 4 coz Mat Kilau was running good. So I decided to go back to my favourite cinema to watch it. Came here after 3yrs & its still fantastic. The screen, cinema hall, foyer & ushers are all well & good. I hope SHAW management upgrade to Laser IMAX & much larger screen in future. Its been 12yrs since last upgrade. Thanks for the IMAX poster ??

Located in the heart of Orchard Road, alight at the North South Red MRT line Orchard and take the underpass towards Wheelock. Kindly do not exit Wheelock and continue walking the underpass towards Isetan. It's located at the top floor. I believe this place brings back tons of memories for many Singaporeans who fancy a good movie experience at an extremely affordable price. The most remarkable feature is their huge glass panel for a window is overseeing the best view of Orchard. I am not sure if this cinema in Lido is Shaw's flagship but I do believe it represents their best. Employees here are polite yet professional. The theatres are quite recently renovated and even when a movie is playing, you would not hear escaped movie noises. Their seats are well maintained and cleanliness is upheld with a high standard. Kindly support such good cinemas and keep them in business for future generations to enjoy.

Awesome clean theatre. Perfect sound and viewing quality. Fantastic service when redeeming popcorn. Aircon was way to cold, do come prepared. Be better if there's dim lit before show to find our seats.

I watched Top Gun Maverick and Jurassic World at Lido Imax today. It is the largest Imax theatre in Singapore. It was quite a great and immersive experience as the screen covers almost your entire view when you are seated not too far away. Picture quality is bright, sharp and clear and it is even better than the omni-theatre at the Singapore Science Centre. However, the aircon is a little too cold. Seats are comfortable and spacious. However, the rows of seats are very long and there isn't an aisle in between except at the extreme ends so it may be quite troublesome to excuse yourself for toilet break if you are seated near the middle if the rest of the seats are occupied. The sound system is good for the Top Gun movie but just only average for Jurassic World. I was expecting an earth shattering with thunderous roar kind of sound system but was rather disappointed.

Wonderful movie theatre. Magical movie experience everytime we go there. Pre-movie exprerience at the darkened lobby and snack bar is so inviting. Also, the exit is at the same lovely lobby. (Others like some other cinemas who simply dump u in some back alley)
