Shaw Theatres Paya Lebar Quarter

Review is for the IMAX theatre. Seats were comfortable, Not the largest IMAX screen I've been to but it's clear and sharp. The sound system is decent, not the best I've heard.

Has many smaller theatres so able to offer numerous screening timings that may suit personal schedules. Seats are generally comfy with bit more width than some other cinemas I've been to. Was in Hall 3 which didn't seem to offer back speakers or perhaps I had not noticed during the Dolby surround sampler before screening began. Overall, not too bad. Noticed QR code at entry to respective theatre halls thru which one can order food to that hall which will be placed outside hall entry and you'll be alerted by sms it's ready for pick up. Just remember to set phone on vibrate ?

We always watch movies here. Recently, Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness. Theater is nice and clean, however air-conditioned is not cold enough. We always ended up sweaty. ? Overall, 4/5.

Clean and modern finishing. Plenty of screens, and generally quite pleasant although there is no waiting area or standing space. There are kiosks where u can purchase tickets quickly which makes for an efficient ticketing experience.

Please train your moviebites staff for customer service training, after purchasing the snacks. They will just place the food on the counter and turn around, talk among themselves during work, not even bothered to help us know which food & belongs to who. Since it was my first time, the extra star is for the cleaner who kindly guide us to the right hall.

Shaw has always been awesome. I always go to Shaw. I'll travel out of my way to go to a Shaw theatre even if there's another theater closer to me. Their seats are actually made to be comfortable for people to sit in unlike so many other theatres.. *cough* GV *cough

This is the cleanest Shaw Theatre I've ever been to. The hallways are cozy and welcoming, and there's plenty of leg room in between seating rows, so you don't have to squeeze through other patrons to get to your seat. This is even better on weekdays where not many people go to the cinemas and it's a pretty quiet spot. I watched Dune in IMAX with Laser here on 16 Sept, 11:40am. The 2nd IMAX with Laser venue is SHARPER (you're looking at a dual 4K projection system which theoretically provides 8K) and more vibrant than the other IMAX venues islandwide, which makes it worth it to travel down to the east side if you're a westie. It's closer than Jewel IMAX anyway. It's just a pity that these 2 venues currently only open up to the 1.9:1 aspect ratio because the screen height can't reach the ones of an IMAX Grand Theater (which can project a taller image of 1.43:1; Science Center and Grand World City used to house such projectors) due to limited space. The toilet is also very clean and welcoming. It just feels like an airport going in. Very envious of what the east side people have within a 15-30 minute commute.

My wife and I recently have made Shaw Theatres at PLQ our favourite (and only) movie cinema with good reason. The IMAX hall is fantastic with its immersive experience, which was perfect for movies like Top Gun Maverick. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful. The theatres are really clean, which is something we appreciate. There are also a lot of eateries and shops downstairs. We will be back!
