Watched Jurassic Park Dominion (2022) on The Cathay's last week of business. :') You will be missed.

The Platinum Suites standard has dropped a lot. The food menu is non existent and there were no blankets provided! How is this worth $38 other than the reclining seats??!!

Was early for the show, but couldn't find any place to sit & wait on those 2 floors. A lot of empty space but no seats, very unfriendly & unwelcoming unlike Lido that has plenty of seats. The building is like a ghost town with empty shops

absolutely HORRID experience here. the management was terrible, one of the managers had an attitude with me. it was not covid protective friendly at all. i wish i could rate it lower stars. I was confused about something with my ticket since it is was my first time, and i was asking a lot of questions to a manager and the manager had the audacity to raise her voice at me. I am not from this country so i am very anxious with things and it felt very racially motivated. And lastly the staff DOESN'T WEAR GLOVES WHEN SERVING FOOD. i nearly gagged at the site. i cant believe there is not more bad reviews its probably their workers covering up the bad experiences. (it is also freezing cold i think it gave me a sickness, wear a jacket and scarf if after that you are still considering)

Long time never been here. The Grand Cathay very huge and seats comfortable. Sound effects good.

I was at Cathay Cineplex, Handy Road, yesterday, 21/2/22 to watch Ah Girls Go Army at 4.45pm. At 4.40pm, the theatre was still totally dark with no one around. I thought it would be nice if some floor lighting could be provided for patrons to find their seats. Had to use my hp for this purpose but its not efficient. Other than this issue, all were fine. Nice seats, clean floor, comfortable air conditioning and nice show too.

I’m on a quest to find the best cinemas in Singapore to watch movies. The Grand Cathay (Hall 1) is one of the largest halls in Singapore. Be sure to book a movie that is screening in Hall 1 if you want to experience the Grand Cathay. It truly is very huge and feels extremely spacious. The row that I sat at, row P, has a lot of leg room in front. I would say that this is the best row given the great leg room. It is also a nice distance from the screen. I prefer seats that are closer to the screen as there is a greater feeling of immersion in the movie. The ticket redemption process is also easy and fuss free. The queues move quite fast here. The only drawback for this cinema is that I feel that the volume is a little lower compared to some other cinema halls of similar size. GV Grand, GV Max has higher volume which is perfect for action movies. I would suggest for Cathay to increase the volume for this cinema hall for a fuller movie experience. Nonetheless, this is the best Cathay hall to go to for your movie fix!

Last day of operations falls on 26 June (Sunday) - would definitely miss this place! Pretty huge premises given that it occupies the top 2 floors of the mall. Long queues on weekends but the staff are generally still friendly when attending to movie-goers. Saw that there were some companies that brought their staff to watch a movie during the last 2 weekend. Thank you for the memories!
