Shimmer & Shine - Oasis

I did a trial classic eyelash extension there in Nov 2019 to test their quality. The extensions lasted about 2 weeks and one eye lost >70% of extensions while the other eye lost >40%. They charged a trial price of $68 for 60 LASHES ONLY (U.P. $128) for 1D classic. It was initially $58 for 50 lashes. The usual minimum amount is 150 lashes at least per eye. I didn't use oil products, swim, gym, sauna or anything that could damage the lashes. The person at the cashier was VERY pushy with sales and insisted 4 times even though I said I wasn't working and didn't have the money to sign her $3,000+ package. After polite rejection, she changed her expression and tone and just wanted to get payment over with. This left a negative feeling at the end of my visit. The Salon was poor. Very squeezy and they cram you into one chair facing the wall in a corner, sitting upright while doing lashes. The lash tech was friendly, but the other shop lady was rather rude, unwelcoming and pushy. I wouldn't recommend going here ever.

Last Sunday 23 May 2021, I went to Shimmer & Shine Oasis Terraces Outlet for pedicure service and this was my second visited. I did informed that I’m allergy lotion so please don’t apply lotion to my leg when I visited first time. However, the lady manicurist (who done for me the 1st time and 2nd time) still applied lotion to my leg when I visited second time. My both knee from leg came out many red dots and very itchy. I had a call for discussing the current situation with the lady manicurist (who done for me the 1st and 2nd time) she asked my skin condition and said she forgot can’t apply lotion to my leg. Suddenly, another lady manicurist speak to me and said due to I not inform in second time so is not their mistake. And this lady said I have to inform every time visit as they have many customers so impossible can be remember. And she also said that we have chit chat on that day so may cause the lady manicurist forgot. I was shocked that how this lady response to me in such a irresponsible way. Every single customers have their own record card to recorded the customer name, contact number and when visit. I’m believe that your will remark and take note for my request. As your FB page mentioned provide the highest standard of luxurious nails and services to guests. So I wonder this is the services your provided?? Highly not recommend !

Staff are friendly but aggressive at promoting to sign up various package after package even though you do not want to. Price is not 3 figure but four. I will not recommend anyone

I just want to get my manicure done quietly and peacefully . Super hard sell, they always come to ask u to do top up, Like even u say no, other one will come over to ask u why no? They insisting me to get the package package and i bought it for $360!!! And even they say my nails all got fungus, should do spa or buy their medicine back to apply. Medicine is $50. I didn’t buy im scared to go to the oasis outlet even i still not used my package!

1st time went to the shopand they keep selling me mani and pedi packages. So they at least tried to do a 'good' job clearing all the calluses and dead skin on my feet. After buying the pedi and mani packages, I went there a second time. Told me to get other packages or add on services which I decline. The manicurist then said my feet calluses are hard to remove if I don't add the services and really left my feet look super ugly and not removing the dead skin. Regret not googling for review. Please go at your own risk.

SUPER HARDSELLING. The first time I went is just for a normal manicure cost 20+, but the lady keep asking me to do gel. Ok fine, I do gel. Then she start asking me to buy package , say the package is for 6 times , but she will give me 1 more time for free. The second time I went, she start saying my hand to dry, should do spa just need to top up how much how much, of course I say no. I say I didn’t bring money or card. Then she keep quiet. 3rd time, she start asking me to do nail art. Alamak pls lah, I just want to get my manicure done quietly. Super hard sell, and not only the manicurist who do for me, they always come to ask u to do top up in a gang. Like even u say no, other one will come over to ask u why no? 4th time, they alr starting to ask me buy one more package coz the current package finishing. I said I didn’t bring enough money, she :” u put $50 deposit also can” Wah I ??? 5th time, she say my nail got fungus, should do spa or buy their medicine back to apply. Medicine is $50. I didn’t buy again. 6th time, same, endless asking me to buy one more package. And I wanted to do other Color, but they keep saying the Color I choose not nice, apply something I don’t like for me. Wah I damn sad when I walk out. Every time I walk in with stress , so scared they will keep asking me to pay more money again and again even I already got package with them. I do manicure for myself to feel happy, not stress or unhappy to get something I don’t like. I didn’t finish the package as they say it’s 6+1, I just went 6times I believe I used up my patience already. Please go if you have plenty money to spend every time u walk in.

I did a pedi just because I had 30min to spare. Die die want me sign package. And their NETS machine was done, I told them I can buy package because I have no CC. Did they let me go? No. Hello? I hope the business owner sees this message. In this era, this sales tactic DO NOT WORK. We are educated and more verbal than women before our time. If you were not so pushy, I might have signed a small one because your near my place. One star for the shiny nails(didn't request for paint, just simple buffing and shaping)

Walked in to do Gel Mani (including removal of previous set), all was ok until its time to bill. Like what others ladies have mentioned, they are very hard-sell. Kept trying to persuade me to buy package, insisting I put a $100 deposit. When I said no for the 3rd time, they weren't keen to talk to me anymore. After paying, they said,"ok, bye", very different. 翻脸比翻书快... one nail wasn't not painted well too...
