★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In Korea and also all the Korean supermarkets in Singapore it is their customs to give free gifts for regular customers. I'm a regular customer of Solmart. So many years had been patron their outlets each time spending $500 to 700. They didn't give me free gifts and I not knowing. Recently I visited another korean supermarket Kmart. Spent about $300 at Kmart and was given some free gifts including vegetables then I realised that it is their custom to reward their regular customers. In Kmart they will even give you points system that you can exchange for cash rebate. You never get this in Solmart. Moreover the price in Solmart is more expensive comparatively to Kmart. I fully recommend Kmart than going to Solmart!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I liked that they carry a wide variety of Korean food, some of which can hardly be found elsewhere. But most of the areas in the shop is not very wheelchair accessible, I would suggest for wheelchair users to purchase from their online platforms instead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They need to do something about the lighting of this place. I went in and it just felt dreary. However, Sol Mart has a lot of Korean staples, frozen goods and of course soju!!! The store display also needs to be more user friendly by providing descriptions of the goods on sale -- this is for the sake of Non Koreans who are curious to know what the product is ir what it is for but can't read the Korean text on the packaging. Staff are busy and they don't have time to help confused non-Korean customers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a really good shopping experience at Sol Mart. My fav kimchi brand Jonga was out of stock in many places except at Solmart and their online store. Called to make sure it’s available before I made a trip and Coreen was very helpful and offered to reserve them for me as they were low in stocks. She also kept aside gochukaru( chili powder) for me and recommended items on offer and their free delivery($100 & above) service when I was down. The freshly stocked vegetables like Napa cabbage and daikon were on offer. Definitely will come back & shop here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love it as they have many varieties of noodles which you cannot find in other Korean supermarket. Besides that they also sell noodles in single packet for those who just want to test the taste. I hope they can open a branch in waterway point to cater for the people who stay in the North East area.
