Has been about 1.5 years since I visited this clinic for my child’s eczema which has been under very good control ever since. After a recent streak of bad doctors for myself, I decided to leave a fair review for this amazing doctor who did wonders for my child (and my sanity). My then infant son started with the so-called milk rash at few months old which just never ended, with additional spots sprouting at the elbows, behind the knees and on the butt. A roller coaster ride of OTC steroid creams by GPs and PDs and traditional remedies of jasmine flowers ensued, plus many nights of crying by both mum and child. My colleague who heard about my nightmares every day looked into her private FB group for mummies and said she knows of this mummy personally who wrote a good review on Naaman Clinic. I was desperate and decided to just give it a try. Dr Khoo was quiet and composed, but warm and pleasant. He saw that I was frantic and worried, so he calmed me down with a few words first. He then examined my child for a few minutes, being gentle and kind, then started writing and pulling out papers. We spent the next 15 minutes at least, with him explaining the vicious cycle of eczema dryness > scratching > skin break open > opportunity for bacteria and fungus > infection > more scratching > more skin break open > more bacteria and fungus (which I already knew from the other doctors). Then he prescribed in-house concocted creams, 1. Anti itch 2. Moisturizer 3. Steroid cream with vitamins 4. Oily serum, and of course explained in detail how to use them to break the cycle. He advised against using powder, but I did anyway, to reduce the tackiness that the creams created. I also noted the bill was slightly steep, but did not dwell on it as it was still comparable to other doctors we’ve seen. Within 3 days, the angry redness and yellow pus reduced by 50%. In the next 5 days, his skin was all closed up, no more wounds. By the time we were at the clinic in the second week, child was smiling and mum was sane again. Dr Khoo was happy with the condition, and encouraged me to keep doing what I'm doing. I said I would be back for any further problems, but he smiled and replied hopefully not. In the last 2 years, there have been flare-ups which gradually reduced in frequency, and always went away after I used the creams. I have recommended one friend who has battled eczema all her life to bring her child with similar issues there, with satisfactory results. I would strongly recommend Dr Khoo, especially for bubs with the darn eczema which can become life-long battles for some. Without this doctor, I may have gone insane (only half joking). I remember every detail very well because I chronicled my child's progress daily with photos, and that it was clearly a saving grace in my life. Thank you Dr Khoo - I can never thank you enough.

The clinic stuff is highly unprofessional and unreliable. I came with a referral letter from GP and my insurance card and passed it to the staff. I consulted my insurance agent earlier about the insurance coverage. The issue I came with was clearly stated in the referral letter and the staff was obliged to inform me UPFRONT if the visit and treatment are covered. Instead of that they asked me for a visit so I assumed that there is no problem with my insurance. AFTER the visit one of the staff informed me that the visit and treatment CANNOT be covered. In the first place I was blaming my insurance agent so I paid for the visit only and was looking for a reimbursement from the agent. Later on I found out that it was the clinic duty to inform me about the insurance coverage based on my referral letter BEFORE I SAW THE DOCTOR. I called the clinic later and they fondly apologized that I was not informed properly however denied to do any reimbursement. I asked my insurance company to interfere and they came back claiming that I HAVE NOT PRESENTED MY INSURANCE CARD ON THE DAY OF THE VISIT. I was deeply shocked by this lie and will look for further help somewhere else. I strongly recommend to avoid this clinic!

Find a different clinic. Emailed ahead of my appointment to check my mole checkup would be covered by insurance. They said 'it depends on the diagnosis' but surely it's the procedure you're paying for not the outcome. Anyway I should have know from reading the other reviews what game they're playing. Check up was 5 mins long. Doctor didn't check over my whole body just asked me which ones he should check. Measured them with a plastic stationary ruler and took one picture of each in the dark room.....Back outside I was asked to pay. The receptionist got arsey like she knew where this was going from the start... Said I had to pay and try to get insurance to reimburse instead. Think they just couldn't be bothered to make the claim on my behalf. Asked for a copy of the notes the doctor had written down with the ruler measurement and she said she wasn't allowed to give them to me and I'd have to wait for the doctor to write me a version I was allowed. WHAT A JOKE. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere proper.

Dr Khoo is super detailed with his diagnosis for my LO; provided you have the questions to ask. The reception were clear with instructions and friendly to kids for the visits I observed. Now my LO is clear from bad skin condition; I can only thank Dr Khoo and team!

READ THIS BEFORE YOU VISIT DR KHOO : I would not recommend this doctor. I started with bad skin with Folliculitis, ended with permanent scars that he also charges me to fix. No preemptive warnings of the risks before he undertook his treatments. No apologies or un-charged treatments to make up for the mistakes.

I’ve been a patient of Mr Khoo for around 20 years since I’ve first visited him during my army days. Saw his transition from Changi General Hospital to his own specialist clinic now in Naaman skin. Mr Khoo has been a very reliable and knowledgeable dermatologist, whom I’ve always go to for serious skin conditions that he will find a way to cure. Lately I’ve also sought his expertise for improving my face condition due to aging and he has prescribed the suitable creams and lotions that have improved my condition greatly. In addition, the front staff of his nurses and assistants have always been helpful and kind to my requests. There are always 4 assistants that will be around in the clinic to ensure the customers are attended to with care and attention. Overall, a continued wonderful experience whenever I made my trip down to Naaman Skin and Laser Center for any skin conditions.

The bad attitude and poor level of service by one of the nurses , Sharon is a complete turnoff. Despite the diagnosis from Dr Khoo which is not aesthetic related she refused to charge the total bill not even the consultation fee to the stafff benefits health card despite producing a referral letter from the panel GP. Perhaps it is due to her plain laziness as it would mean extra admin paperwork Her tone of voice is extremely rude and unforgiving. I have since informed the panel clinic to strike Naaman out from their referral list and my company HR/insurer to remove them permanently
