It has been a good experience working with Starry Homestead. Their finishing is good and the quality of materials used has also been excellent. I really like their design too. Everything was smooth during the course of renovation.

What a terrible experience I had from start of my renovation hacking on 7th of Nov 2018 until now (12 Jan 2019) after I engaged Starry Homestead as my renovation contractor. The company supposed to complete the renovation within 3-weeks time However, more than 2 months past, no workable solution to be provided on defects rectification since 12 Dec 2018, no proper handover to be conducted at all, no credit note on promised and agreed discount to be issued to me. If I never changed phone to call my ID, I even didn’t know that company wanted to terminate the contract. And according to my ID, termination letter supposed to send to me on 9th or 10th Jan. As expected, nothing happened. Until now, even nobody contacted me to discuss the next-step. Their carpenters wrongly drilled my water-pipe and caused the water leaking; therefore their plumber had to hack down my good wall tile to replace the water-pipe in Master bath-room and consequently new vanity cabinet must be re-installed due to such rare accident and inferior mistake made and irretrievable damage caused; Few times touch-up by their carpenters but still couldn't fix many defects for wardrobe installed by them first-time due to poor quality and lousy workmanship; Even for re-installed wardrobe, their carpenters never followed the correct size to install the hanging bar and till now there are lots of unacceptable dents/scratches/defects(i.e. PVC peel off after 1 week reinstallation of wardrobe, the scratches/defects on the left door of vanity cabinet due to wrong paints to be used and lousy PVC Plastering skill etc.) on re-installed vanity cabinet and wardrobe caused by poor workmanship and careless working attitude from their workers. Due to all those incidents, I had to change my flight itinerary which incurred additional charges to coming back SG to attend their re-installation; Had to apply additional leave to finish the extended renovation/defect rectification; spent much longer time and made more efforts to coordinate/discuss with their sides to make sure the re-installation/rectification to be done as promised by Starry Homestead. I even spent lots of time to help them to do pre-arrangement and project management. In addition to all those tangible time/effort/loss/cost, My family and I also have to suffer other pain/inconvenience which included but limited to disrupted holiday plan and related cost, additional leaves required to cause bad appraisal from my boss; a lot of inconvenience on no wardrobe and toilet to be able to use for unexpected longer renovation period; longer time living in dirty/dusty/noisy and messy environment; additional cleaning/tiding up time and work; additional furniture/floor damage due to unprofessional service by their different batches of workers, struggling to manage unexpected circumstances caused by their workers with poor workmanship etc. I also escalated my case to their customer services and so-called management in charge of Balestier branch manager Tony by many calls and around dozens of whatsapp messages. But in the end, they totally ignored my feedback/comments and never rendered necessary assistance to me (e.g. Proactively call me to discuss the remedy solution, work out detailed solutions/work plan to solve the issues, offer necessary discount for the unacceptable defects etc.) except making deceptive promise, asking for more time to be given for rectification. As such, I feel very regret to engage Starry Homestead to be my renovation company. Overall I would say Starry Homestead is very irresponsible company with many fraudulent statements made and lots of behavior breach of contract signed with customer. Their capability to handle customer feedback, workmanship and working process, professionalism are really poor and they are not able to qualify the honor and merit for 3 years super trust award by Qanvast and Case Trust Certificate.

I found Starry Homestead while looking at homes in Qantvast. My entire experience working with Ms. Ashley as my ID has been pleasant. I found her to be sincere, and attentive to my requirements. From the start, I was surprised when she asked about my habits and my current living space. However, after doing so, she was able to propose a design that suited my job, my lifestyle, my current living habits and my odd assortment of stuff. Her design optimised the small space that I had, while creating opportunities to use the space as I envisioned. Her designs were suitable and practical, ensuring that they look good and stylish without incuring unnecessary spending, and provided the sense of elegance while allowing me sufficient storage capacity. She was open to suggestions, sometimes even going the extra mile to look up on possible solutions or furniture online that I can explore further, just to allow me to get the right look and feel. When the renovation started, she was here at every step of the way, providing me clear updates on the progress and raising issues which require my attention in a timely manner. She did her best to work within my timelines and follow-up on issues which may require further work. When the renovation was finally completed, it was exactly as I expected. I trust her judgement, and have even made some additions despite some increased cost, but in the end she was right, and it brings me joy everyday living in the space she has designed.

I went with Starry Homestead because their designs were very nice. During our initial discussions with them, we gave them a rough idea of what we wanted, and they gave us a lot of wonderful suggestions. I really love the kitchen cabinets that they did up for us. It was unique and stylish and very modern. The after sales service was excellent. After moving in for a month or so, we had a few faulty lights, and the water heater malfunctioned. We gave them a call on Saturday, and by Monday, them had sent their workers down to take a look. I have recommended them to my friends and I would definitely encourage others to engage his services!

Highly recommend Starry and its designer (Wendy) who are always responsive and professional and completed our renovation on time and with high quality. Now our family enjoys our house renovated with their service.

Do not engage this junior designer Erica Chen. Went to enquire for a quotation but did not receive it for more than a month now. Followed up in between but was brushed off by saying will send once done. I agree from a previous review that they are arrogant and selective so definitely not recommending to fellow house owners.

Highly recommend our designer, Aaron Ng. He was our designer for our previous residence and he did such a good job that we approached him again for our current residence. He understood the hard renovation deadline imposed by the expiry of our rental lease. In addition, there were challenges posed by Covid in terms of manpower and supply of materials. By proposing workarounds and creative solutioning, we managed to move in on schedule. Aaron also has a strong network of contractors' contacts, well-supported by Starry Homestead's in-house contractors, who have all proven to be very reliable and responsive.
