β β β β β I was on holiday in Singapore recently and went for a haircut as this outlet was close to the place I stay.
Before I went, I checked out the google map and there are like 10 hairdressers. I chose super cut because I knew this brand(when I lived in Singapore before, I used to visit their Novena branch, but my long time hairstylist happen to be on leave that day), though I never visited this branch. super cut's branches are not under the same management, but their hair salons are always very clean, with big mirror and windows. After you sitted, they will serve you drink and there are a few types of fashion magazine to read. The hair cut experience starts from this moment and you can just relax.
I was served by Alan and he is very professional. In the beginning, he spent some time to understand what I want. Then I had an autie washed my hair. He cut it first, then he suggested I wash another round, because my hair will look different if cut when it is dry vs cut when it is wet. So I had another wash and blow dry, then he cut again.
The nature of my hair is straight, hard and a bit dry. And he cut it in such a way that the bottom is made a lot thinner, and he made the ball shape very nice at the top. It sounds very simple, but I have tried a number or hairstylists, and only a few could help me achieve it. Alan is one of them.
I also want to specifically mention the autie who washed my hair. even though this is a small detail, it can ruin the whole experienCE. I have had hair wash where they washed too hard which made me pain. This autie has just the right force and I felt so comfortable that I almost fall asleep.
The bill comes close to 50 SGD. I feel very well worth it.

β β β β β Rated 2 stars as I have been to a few places, mens haircut/trim was recommended here and cost was about $10 higher than Bedok. I sat down as the salon looks clean and was busy and once sat in the chair the price went up. Told it was going to be $8 more than quoted. Went to Bedok instead, good haircut and fair price.

β β β β β Ended up with Hair cut. Wanted to know about hair coloring but the receptionist was rude and doesn't understand what organic means. The hair cut was done in 5/7 minutes without doing partiton from between (even I know this :P) hence an uneven cut. My brother's hair cut was also not done properly. It was not smooth or even from behind and not the look he wanted. Sad and disappointed. Not recommending anyone

β β β β β I have been a customer at Supercuts Crescendo Bldg & Athel is my hairdresser & Athelβs wife Pauline is the cashier there. I havenβt been voicing out my complaints openly all this while because I was hoping that Pauline will stop charging erratically.
During all my usual bi-monthly visits, my cut & color charges charged by Pauline tend to fluctuate, used to be $112, sometimes $114, sometimes $117, then $119, when questioned why $119 & not $117, Pauline said price increased. My next visit 2 months later shot up to $124 , again Pauline said price has increased. In a matter of a span of 2 months , price has increased twice? And Pauline defended herself by telling me no more price increase, this is the last. Why does she need to defend herself? Because she knew jolly well that she has anyhow charged me $119 previously & not due to genuine price increase.
My hairdresser even defended for his wifeβs fluctuating charges by saying that if I want my hair to be shorter, he will cut shorter, if I want him to layer more, he will layer more, so why am I βmaking noiseβ over a few dollars difference? In the first place, why should there be a difference in charges in my every visit when every visit I do nothing additional or new, itβs always the same, basic cut & color, thatβs all? Also, when customer wants hair to be shorter or wants more layering, customer should feel free to tell his or her hairdresser & it is customer service that the hairdresser should fulfil what the customer wants. Otherwise he should not be in this line. I told Athel itβs not a matter of a few dollars difference, itβs a matter of principle.
On one occasion when Pauline was in Bangkok one day when I came for haircut , her colleague charged me $160 plus. I was shocked & told her colleague that all this while Pauline used to charge me $114. Seems that when Pauline is not around, nobody in Supercuts knows how to charge customers. What kind of system is there in Supercuts when only one worker ie Pauline knows the charges?
My frens asked me before how much is my cut & color? Should I tell my frens sometimes $117, sometimes $119, sometimes $124 & sometimes $132? When all this while itβs the same old thing- cut & color, nothing more. My frens are all puzzled to hear this when their saloons that they go to donβt charge them in this erratic & fluctuating
manner like in Supercuts. Seems I am not the only one who complained about this, I saw & heard another customer also complaining to Pauline about their erratic charges in one of my visits.
Just want to let whoever who wants to step into Supercuts Crescendo bldg at East Coast Rd to think twice about stepping in for haircut as their charges can be erratic. Today their cashier Pauline can charge you $120, next visit it can be $124, subsequent visits can range from $129 & so on & so forth. Itβs always upward trend, no downward trend.
I donβt mind paying more for a skilful hairdresser than to a unprofessional hairdresser like Athel who claimed that he has about 20 yrs of experience & yet there were 2 long strands of hair jutting out, not cut at all in my last visit. I also donβt mind paying more at other good saloon which does not charge customers erratically. Itβs not the few dollars difference that I am questioning them, itβs the reason behind for charging customer different charges that I m questioning them.

β β β β β clean environment, hair stylist provided professional opinions and fast.
have to make appointment as busy place
price is more on the higher range
did a trim only not like a full hair cut cost about $55 which i think was slight pricey. bleaching and dye is acceptable but still on the higher range.
Overall experience was good.

β β β β β Took my teenage son for a haircut, and it did it go well. The stylist SOPHIE was poor in all aspects - uneven cuts, nothing like the style we requested, rough handling and asked someone else to wash his hair. Even frowned and left in a huff when he said he did not want any gel on his hair.
I have an angry teenager ruing his hairstyle and upset about how he was treated.
I would not go back here, and would urge you to check your stylistβs reviews before you go there.
