★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Regretted that I didn't find this place earlier! The fish head steamboat is one of the best I have tried. Thumbs up for the other dishes such as the handmade prawn roll that I loved because of its full fillings that tasted like my grandma's recipe. Of course can't miss the classic prawn paste wings. Great dining restaurant that I will come back again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and cosy place for a fantastic dinner!!! The sambal promfret was legendary and delicious!!! Totally lived up to my expectations!!! Although small but not cramped space small. Was quite spacious even for wheelchair. Semi air conditioned.. there is space for alfresco dining. Service staff was very helpful and attentive to our requests. Definitely recommend for family dining pleasure!!!! Limited car park lots but there is a open public car park just across the restaurant within walking distance. For those taking public transport, there is a bus stop just directly outside the restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tze char is a concept best shared with a sizable group. COVID has limited tze char's concept but I'm happy to see many being able to tide through. Lai Huat was a weekend must in my younger days when they operated outta a corner coffee shop at Lavender. I admit to being frivolous and moving on to other dining options since.
Having been there recently with a rowdy bunch of middle aged men....the food really hit close to home. Not just to me but all present. Sentimentality? No...we are very fussy folks when it comes to what we partake given we have all developed a need to limit food intake in one form or another as we age.
We found everything to be well executed. Nothing to pick on really. Service was brisk yet friendly enough. They do tend to get very busy weekend dinners, so best head there with those in mind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recommend the hotpot here.
Tasty soup based and goes well with whatever you want to put in.
Their fried fish was ok. I think it is a popular dish but it did not meet my expectation so I won’t recommend.
Everything else are generally good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Service is good even though mainly helmed by seniors. Food quality and quantity is definitely value for money. But have to make reservations if you want to go during peak lunch and dinner times. Can only pay by cash and paynow. Will definitely visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was ok Overall. The fish maw soup and Mee sua was not bad. The sambal fish was underwhelming. The fish meat was very dry and lack any Sweetness. Only the sambal carrying the fish and it's not doing a fantastic job either. The other notable dishes were the fried chicken and crab meat toufu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is fine given the price. Friendly services. Given the home cook for vibes. Rather busy over the weekends. The bee Hoon Is very tasty. But the environment is more like a coffee shop style.
