When going Melaka is impossible during Covid, this is where I go if I crave for Chendol. The best next alternative I can find. At $2.30 per bowl, served to your table, I think it is very reasonable. Location: coffeeshop, no air con

Friendly owner. Freshly made chendol. Red bean was sweet and fleshy. Green jelly was tasteless and limp. Not too sweet. Sells kweh too. On first bite, found it strange that the kueh isn't sweet, but after a few bite, the sweetness from the coconut came out and was actually rather nice. Overall, an above average place.

Not the best chendol I have had. I'd say while the caramely gula is sweet, it kinda grows on you. Unfortunately, packet coconut milk didn't make the cut. Red bean was also not soft enough, that said, maybe some like them a little bitier. Homemade green jelly strips also quite disappointing; the long thick strips rather starchy, neither frangrant nor boucy;

Finally got to slurp down Chendol Melaka's super refreshing and yummylicious chendol. Loved that there were so many elements to enjoy- from the red beans softened with sweetness, slippery chendol , rich hand squeezed santan all in an ice bath drizzled with gula melaka .

Shaved ice is smooth. The gula melaka is strong but could put a bit more. Coconut milk could be a bit more too.

There was too little gula melaka, the green stuff tasted frozen, the red beans weren't nice. Wouldn't recommend.

Seems like the standards really have dropped for the chendol. The coconut milk and gula melaka were not fragrant, the chendol was bright luminous green, tasted like commercial chendol. It’s hard and jelly like and quite tasteless. It’s probably the same standard as the ones you can get from any food court. The good thing is that it’s not expensive - $2.30 a bowl if you dine in and $2.50 if you takeaway.

Lovely kuehs. Great chendol on a humid n hot day. Love the kuehs very much. Will return often, for more.
