★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not as good as the brother's stall at Hong Lim and also a rip off by serving a portion for 2 pax when ordering for 1 pax.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s pricey for Teo chew porridge but I love it and best Teo chew porridge in sg for me.
They have the half cook eggs like the Japanese style.
Only downsize that they have limited portion and sometimes sold out by 12.30 already

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best Teochew porridge in my humble opinion. Try ordering the steam groupa and you will know know why Teo Heng at Amoy is so popular. Fresh fish simply steamed with stalted veg, done to perfection. Just like how my mum used to do it. Absolutely yummilicious!??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Touted as a 1 man order Teo Chew porridge, I beg to differ. Located in Amoy Street Food Centre, this Teo Chew Porridge is located on the ground level. Teo Heng, operates only over lunch, offers Teo Chew braised and steamed dishes to go with plain porridge. Usually Teo Chew porridge is a few eaters' gathering choice for communal dishes to share. Here you're supposedly able to order 1 person portion. I came alone, and perhaps wanted to review more offerings, asked for Braised Pork Belly, Pork Intestines, Fish Cake and veggies. In otherwise Mixed veggie rice stall would be adequate but what came out were easily a 2 person's portion. Maybe due to the fact that I came at near 2pm and its probably near closing so might as well gave me more. $9.50 though wasn't near overpriced for what I was given but no way I could finish all that meat and much went to waste which was a pity. The porridge were made just right, soft and whole rice grains, enough soupy taste to go with but unfortunately served cold, and the braised broth drenched over with was too watery and sweet. Ruin much of half the porridge. The pork belly and intestines while again cooked to the right tenderness and bite, unfortunately lacks flavour. Teo Chew braised gourmet while light, is known for the soy sauce and spice fragrant all too lacking here. Blanched cabbage were nothing to shout about, lacks the either shrimp or anchovies umami fragrant. Only saving grace was the hand made fish cake. Soft, smooth and tender with a light fragrance of yellow tail fish. But lacks the bouncy bite of fish cakes. Though at $9.50 for all that meat its probably great value, for not one but two persons. Can't beat the better Teochew porridges at Hong Lim or People's Park both in selection, value and most importantly flavours.
