The Emerald Bakery - 325 Clementi Ave 5

An old school bakery in the neighbourhood, my dad have been buying their breads & cakes for my girls when they were in pri school. Now my girls are in Poly & we still love their breads & cakes. Highly recommended are their pandan & orange chiffon cakes, their fruit cake & mini donuts.

Sugar must be cheap. Non meat baked items are astonishingly sweet. Will not patronise again.

First time here, just happened to pass by. Just got this matcha walnut bread with red bean omg I had to try it immediately!! The bread is so soft and fluffy, the fillings were really generous. Super tasty!!! Thank you uncle for being so friendly. This is the OG bread store!!

Fave bakery, would rather walk here to buy bread than those bakeries at the MRT station. Love the sausage bun and chocolate cake. The chocolate cake at emerald bakery reminds me of the McDonald’s birthday chocolate cake. Ahh.. the flavours of nostalgia

Thanks for your understated but amazing milk powder bun. This isn't easy to find and you do it really well. I'd braced myself for disappointment thinking it'd be just a sprinkling of milk powder inside, but it was as it should be - chockful of sweet, powder-buttery decadence. The other thing I bought was the soft cake rolls with floss - which isn't for everybody - but the balance of sweet and salty was just right, especially with the light fresh cream. The various textures complimented one another very well. Amazing "mouth feel".

Love the cakes and breads here! They’re really fresh, soft and fluffy! They’re not too sweet as well. Prices are very reasonable too. Highly recommend!

I love the baked goods here!! Discovered this great bakery while exploring Clementi a while back. The shop is really easy to find, just a stone’s throw away from the MRT station. I bought a banana cake, apple crumble and a chocolate brownie today. I know the packaging is very unassuming but it packs one of the nicest banana cakes I’ve ever tasted. The cake is really moist, fluffy to eat and you can’t help but take a second slice. The banana taste is well balanced! The apple crumble is also delectable, apple bits are fresh and the crust is just right, not too hard and not nua nua. The brownie was also as moist as the cake and I’m not sure what’s the whitish bits, (guess it’s white chocolate) but it enhanced the taste to a creamy texture. The bakery also sells lots of different breads too so you can get lots of choices when you are there! I’ll be back soon :)
