★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These photos don’t do the food justice, but I had to write a review because the food was really good. Here’s my ranking of the dishes:
1. Pork ribs (10/10)
2. Spinach (10/10)
3. Sautéed potato (10/10)
4. Ribeye (9/10)
5. Cod (8/10)
6. Garlic bread (7/10)
7. Ratatouille (6/10)
8. Escargot (6/10)
The pork ribs were my favourite, caught me by surprise as I was expecting the typical bbq ribs. This one is cooked in the claypot and is crusted at the top. So good!! My second favourite was their spinach. Sounds lame but it’s really fragrant, had a buttery taste to it. Really sad we didn’t get to taste the Gratin as it was sold out but the sautéed potato was goodddd. Ribeye had a very interesting peppercorn sauce, something new! Escargot was lacking in flavour though, even though it smelled really fragrant.
Definitely will come back again! Great gem in Changi Village.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To all loyal customers of The French Stall, they have reopened at Changi Rd and serving the same fantastic French food that they've been doing since their humble beginning at Victoria Food Court and the good old days along Serangoon Road. I had my duck confit, pork rillette with baguette, french onion soup and apple tart for dessert. Brought back lots of good memories!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff here are friendly, and nice. Had the pork rillet (think pull pork), a bit to get used to but nice when spread over baguette. Had suggested warm bread next time but the French like it cool. A thing to learn( they did say they warm it up the next time we visit). The beef & fish we had were fantastic, medium rare for the beef came out just juicy & flavour full. The fish was fresh was told organic, & taste was not disappointing. Part could improve are the sides, spinach & tomatoes, could be price more affordable ( taste was ok), than again $15 corkage charge for BYO, seem to be the standard here. Evening well spent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little French in the topical Singapore.
3 Man team with Chef Xavior single handedly manning the kitchen and front of house Joanna and Joan. You cant get more native than a French Born Singaporean Chef owner cooking for you. ?
We had the long loved Foie Gras, and something new Duck Magret with Green Peppercorn Sauce, Duck Confit and baked Chambered Cheese.
We loved the passion that went into our every bite and we can taste the sweat that goes into the preparation of the food.
It is worth crossing the Singapore terrain to taste your cooking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ To me, it’s good French food. Very good and friendly staff and the food..was good. We had the escargot, French soup and didn’t have time to take pics as it was good. Do have them with the bread as on its own is not the way to eat the escargot. The duck confit with the gratin dauphinois is absolutely a perfect match and recommended by the Boss herself. Kudos to the staff and chef whom I got a glimpse is a Frenchman so there you go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I will not be returning to this eatery. Visited this restaurant because I had a steak craving and imagined the steak and duck confit to be a signature dish. However, I have never tasted a beef steak so overpowered by herbs it actually didn’t feel like I’m eating beef. The oregano/rosemary blend with tongue-numbing spice lends the beef a strong earthy/herby flavour, I felt like I was eating fish.
The meal was also characterised by grease and oil. The savoury chilled pork rilette from the 2 course set served with small amounts of baguette leaves a greasiness on the mouth and lips when the bread runs out. The main, duck confit is greasy and stringy. The sautéed potato sides (which requires extra $3 topup) though bursting with flavour leaves a layer of oil on the plate despite being cut into thin slices to have more surface area to absorb oil/flavours.
I expected more from my ribeye steak and for the first time struggled to tell the waitress the doneness I liked. I always asked for medium and today, it’s like 75% doneness. The white sauce which the steak was served with is unidentifiable. I can’t seem to taste or figure out what it’s really supposed to taste (since the herbs and perhaps peppercorns have overwhelmed my senses). Or maybe it’s supposed to taste like peppercorns… my tongue’s too numb
This meal cost $70.40 for two. It left us unsatisfied.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The French Stall has been around for many years at other locations. However it’s our first time trying & we were not disappointed. Do have patience while waiting for the food as chef prepares & cooks every dish a La minute. The Chicken burger was a real surprise as focaccia bread was used instead of sesame seed bun. Chicken was baked in the oven instead of pan fry. The star ⭐️ of the night has to be the 300g Ribeye beef. Chef said he uses only New Zealand beef & it was really juicy & tender. Best ribeye we have eaten in Singapore. Must Try.
Sea bass was fresh from the fish farm just outside of Changi coast. Presentation was simple, like home cooked food.
Awesome dinner. Will be back. ??
