β β β β β Love their service. A small outlet. Gotta wait awhile if thereβs crowd. The pastry taste exactly the same across all their stores.

β β β β β Cozy Cafe With Yummy Pastries! I love their kouign amann and croissants. The dining area is spacious with gold tables and fancy plates that makes this cafe feel elegant. Staff are friendly and efficient. Their pulled pork sandwich and roast beef croissant are a must try! Price is a bit on the higher side but is totally worth it for the quality. This outlet at Scotts Square is pretty quiet as well which is perfect for a relaxing tea time meal. ;)

β β β β β Once you walk through the entrance of Scotts Square, the smell of croissants smacks you right in the face and you canβt help but follow the waft coming from the bakery cozily tucked away in the corner. It looks more like an art gallery with hand drawn paintings and tasseled posters on the walls. The staff are friendly and helpful, guiding you to a table to put down your things before you head to the counter to gaze at the glass display: rows upon rows of freshly baked goods to pick and choose from. Kouign amann, pain au chocolat, danish, lemon tart, chocolate tart, eclair; you name any French pastry and they probably have it. It was late afternoon but still packed with people catching up over tea or discussing work with a croissant in hand. Ambience 10/10. Food & Drinks 10/10. Service 10/10. Would I come back? Hell yeah.

β β β β β Their croissants are reliably flakey and buttery. I have a thing for the Le Parisian (ham and butter baguette) too - I prefer it untoasted so the butter remains solid - but the crust poses a tough jaw workout. The raisin danish is less impressive.
What was disappointing though was the "teh tarik". That was nothing like our local version and 5 times the price.... ?

β β β β β A traditional casual Singapore style themed cafe for interior design, a nice change from the other outlets! Coffee and pastries are spot on, as usual. Prefer the vibes over here compared to the one at Tangs.

β β β β β 25/6/2022, I visited the Tiong Bahru Bakery, Scott Square outlet to give it a try. Their Signature croissant and coffee were really good however, I feel that the working environment of the staff could be done a lot better.
There was this girl in grey shirt who helped us get seated for dining in. She was really jovial and chatted with us giving us a very welcomed atmosphere to the store. However, it seems like her superiors in the store does not treat her very good at all.
When we were looking in the direction of the working area, I saw her getting shouted at and being told to stand away from the counter as she was packing food for another customer for take away. This kind of treatment really gave us an extremely bad impression of the working environment for Tiong Bahru Bakery, it could be done a lot better.
Although it's the weekend and it's extremely busy, these kind of treatments for a working staff is not justifiable. I really give her a thumbs up for being able to put up with such work environment and being able to still take these mistreatments at work.
Still, Kudos to this young girl in grey for her customer service. I thoroughly enjoyed the visit due to the visit and her however, the working environment could be improved with regarding staffs and management.
