Today's three days before cny starts. His clinic was open, his receptionist great and when I stepped into his office there was a feeling of peace. Neither he nor the receptionist wasted my time but honoured me as a person first and patient second. I paid $18 for the first time consult. My personal GP is a friend who has his own clinic too but this doctor is not shady either!

Joker. more than 5 hours wait. reached at 2pm , 7pm still not seen. Dont know if the doctor during operation inside or what. doctor also didnt reach the clinic until 4plus despite opening hours stating 2pm. Complete disregard of patient's time by making patients wait like servants, patiently awaiting the king's arrival at his own leisure.

Clinic opened at 8am but doctor came in at 11.40am. what kind of service is this? I gotten number 1 for my queue but have to wait here for more than 2 hrs. Receptionist told us that he always came in so late. Definitely wouldn't come back again, disappointed. Don't support this kind of clinic.

Wednesday, came at 5.50pm, clinic opened 6pm, took a Q number (6), 8pm doctor then came in! 8.30pm still with patient (1)! At this rate, will only get to see him after 10pm, would have left but my daughter wanted to wait as she was in pain, and this is the only clinic opened here. Will never step foot into this clinic ever again. As of this writing, I'm still waiting and burning in frustration. Update, ordeal ended 9.45pm, from 6pm!!!

The wait here has always been known to be a little longer than most clinics. However, considering that the doctor has been a one-man-show for his entire career here and rarely taking any day offs, I feel that he shouldn't be faulted for the wait, especially with so many other clinics around the area. In addition, you can clearly see how empty his clinic gets whenever a relief doctor takes over his duty to see how many people here trust Dr Yap and is willing to wait for their turn. He takes his time with each patient to get to know their symptoms and to give advice that I rarely get from any other doctor. He truly gets to know his patients and that is worth the wait IMO. He has helped me out countless times and listens to my situation rather than just my symptoms to get a clearer picture. I'm truly appreciative of having this doctor in my neighbourhood and I am sure the long line of people waiting to be seen by him is testament that I am not alone in this line of thinking.

Clinic opens at 6pm - came at 7:45pm to take a queue number for my dad and was told that at that point the doctor was still NOT IN. So I checked and asked what time should we come back & the receptionist said โ€œyou may come back before 9:30pm cause we close around thenโ€ Dad and I reached the clinic at 9:20pm and the queue number was at #2 while our queue number was 10?! And as my dad is immunocompromised I asked the receptionist if itโ€™s possible if my dad goes first as I didnโ€™t want him to stay too long in the clinic with all the germs and covid - she consulted with the doctor (who came so late) and she returned with a reply โ€œSorry I think you can just wait, if not you may ask other patients if your dad can go first.โ€ She looked to me somewhat a little embarrassed to say it as well but thatโ€™s just my opinion. If I were a patient with high fever whatโ€™s going to happen to me? Some of the patients here probably have been waiting since 6pm & JUST because the doctor is late and Iโ€™m typing this at 9:50PM and the current queue number is #3 seems like itโ€™s still ongoing. Thankfully the patrons were nice enough to let us go first. This will be our last time in this clinic and I will advise future patrons, if youโ€™re REALLY SICK - please try not to take your chance here unless you want to wait 4 hours. I hope this was a one off event cause itโ€™s DAMN ***king irresponsible as a doctor.

Though waiting time might be long, I find this clinic as amongst the best clinics that I have visited for the past twenty years. The doctor is good in diagnosing and explains what is the underlying illness. Patient and kind.

Dr Yap is our family doctor for 2 decades. Yes, the queue is long. Yes, he comes in at a stipulated timing. Yes, he takes his time with every patient. Yes, his doctor recommendations and medications work. Yes, he is very observant on the needs than wants. I would travel from central and back here just to visit Dr Yap. If thereโ€™s a ten star, I would opt for that only.
