β β β β β All time favorite ~ come early before dinner time to avoid queue. The rosu kurobota tonkatsu is so good, please have it with the multigrain purple rice. Not to forget actually the chicken katsu also good, beyond my expectation ?

β β β β β What a gem!! The service was great and refillable teas, soup and salad. Even the miso soup is done with so much effort and the flavour was done really well. Unagi rice set was small but I liked the option of purple rice. The meat cutlets were well done as well but the fried oysters were to die for! Would definitely come back very soon and most probably get the oyster set this time around!

β β β β β Super long queue on Friday night! Maybe I was not used to queuing for food. The food is expensive however with good quality. The set doesnβt come with free green tea, sad. The cabbage salad with sesame sauce is awesome! Rice is small portion. The one with free flow cabbage at orchard better, bigger portion of rice.

β β β β β Disappointing food from a restaurant we had high expectations for, given the perpetual long queues snaking out of this place. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and didn't have to wait for a seat.
Food was bland and extremely dry (refer to photo), and service was mediocre at best (also see that this is a regular pain point noted in other comments, but not the worst part of our experience). We were repeatedly ignored when asking for service, yet towards the end of the meal we were asked whether we wanted our plates cleared even though there was clearly still food left on the plate.
We came here to celebrate a special occasion and left sorely disappointed, and would not recommend this nor return here again.

I always regard Japanese service to be extraordinary. This particular instance doesn't quite fit the bill.
Service was slow and scattered. Never got my drink until my order arrived and it was difficult to flag the staff.
The presentation was good. The flavours were typical of what I would expect for a katsu set. The pork loin was just a little overdone to my liking.
Overall decent. Simply put the service could improve.

β β β β β Went on a weekend evening and waiter got us a seat for 2 immediately. Food was served quite quickly in about 10-15 mins, service was great. Got to say that the quality of the pork was awesome ?? will be back again!

β β β β β Made a reservation for lunch, table of 5. They allocated us the quieter inner room which comfortably sits us. Service provided has definitely improved compared to the previous time we were there. Staffs were very friendly and knowledgeable, recommending food items to us and attentively topping up the side salad and tea.
Food was good quality as usual. Various price point available accordingly to the meat quality.
Lovely experience overall !

β β β β β Walked in on a Saturday and the place was pretty packed. Despite only having 2 servers on the floor running in and out, their service was good.
Pork tonkatsu is super good as well, one of the better ones in Singapore. Itβs fried nicely, middle is still juicy and not dry at all.
This place serves free flow cabbage as well for those who wants an extra serving. ??
