★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice authentic Korean family fare, just like how we had it in Korea. Love the home cooked taste of the food and cosy ambience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Patronised them a couple of times this year and realised the korean ahjumma has issues and prices keep increasing.
Service:
They expect you to know beforehand on your own what kind of restaurant they are ie. only one fixed set menu daily at $17.90. There's no clear sign at the entrance what the day's menu even though they have a screen at the entrance with images, and they don't explain before you enter and upon being seated. Only if they happen to offer a special stew dish that day would they ask if you want the set or stew - and even then they won't refer to/explain clearly what it is, until you ask. Otherwise, what they do is serve you the entire tray of food immediately without a word. So if you bring friends here and are late, that's the type of reception they will get in your absence. And oh, they will bring all all the trays with no regard if someone is not there yet and throw a fit when you request it to be served later when the guest comes so that the food is hot. What is going on?
The uncle who mans the entrance and collects payment is very nice, and this new uncle server who is very earnest. The younger girls aren't so nice. And we haven't even mentioned their Korean ahjumma.
Korean ahjumma:
Many Korean restaurants in Singapore have this symptom - grouchy Korean ahjumma owner who sneers at every non-Korean customer with the most condescending attitude. This is one of them. Yes the food is "homey" and guess the attitude also is truly "homey" from the typical disgruntled Korean housewife/MIL in kdramas. She really should stay in the kitchen and not venture out to serve customers. She got so upset at being asked nicely if the SMALLEST and CHEAPEST banchan (10 tiny black beans) could be changed for anything else. What was there to be so offended and incensed about? And honestly what is so difficult about offering to change a small banchan according to the customer's preferences? We did not go there to be scolded for a simple request put across innocently and extremely nicely.
Prices: Apparently it used to be a buffet restaurant before covid (as other reviews here show), but became a daily fixed set menu AT THE SAME PRICE due to covid restrictions. Since there's strictly no refill for the banchan and the main dish portion is smaller than other normal Korean restaurants, the price is steeper considering its residential location.
If they served at least a quarter or half of the actual full-sized mochi waffle it would make the price more worth it, compared to the tiny bite-sized portion.
They used to provide one mineral water bottle per person. The last time we went they said it was 2 bottles per 3 people. What is going on?
Food:
Yes this glorified Korean "cai fan" tastes not bad for most of their dishes as per review here. It isn't oily and has a clean homey taste. It seems like most side dishes are homecooked, except maybe some which are the usual out-of-a-packet as per all Korean restaurants. The tiny bite-sized piece of mochi waffle was good. You need to check their Instagram account beforehand for the day's menu to be certain of what you will get. There's only one main dish + side dishes + tiny mochi waffle and fruit pieces - remember STRICTLY NO CHANGES OR OTHER OPTIONS!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is an absolute gem!!! Took the time to drive down this place just to eat here!
The daily menu is really unique and is filling too. You can check out on their Instagram or facebook for their daily menu and choose the day you want to visit!
Run by koreans, so the food is as authentic as it can get!!
Place can get crowded at dinner time so is best to book reservations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food had a very homely taste. If you're looking for tastes that will blow you away, I doubt this is the place. But nonetheless the food was still pleasant, Nothing was over sweet/salty etc. Serving was large and In my opinion, their side dishes were the stars of the show

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Standard set meal per person, taste homely. Nice ambience. We couldn’t finish all the dishes, good that owner gave us a container to pack home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice Korean home cooked food. Healthy and not too salty. Reasonable price with no service charge and GST. Don't need to see the menu. Get seated and they start to serve you the standard food of the day. Everyone is served the same dishes. Free drinking water but not free flow.
Had the impression it was all you can eat but it isn't.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw the reviews and went to their FB to check what was the menu. Made my way down and was seated immediately. I chose 6pm and on Saturday - no queue.
Those that came later were seated outside as the inside space was full.
Anyway, food was delicious and healthy - just what I wanted. Grilled pork was good and serving was just nice, you will definitely be full even if you're a big eater, so the change to fixed portions is no issue for me.
Will come back again if their menu of the day catches my eye and so happen to be craving for homely Korean food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best random menu place, see their social media page for menu. Best samgyetang i have eaten, is the salty and not tasteless kind of soup and even the rice in chicken tastes well. Kimchi stew is nice and substantial. Tucked away in community centre, just opposite hill v2. Even has fruits and waffle. Will come again.
