Nice cafe with many varieties of Korean food. Had Army Stew which was spicy but quite salty. The staff was friendly and approachable. Additional soup can be requested if required. Will visit again.

Had a quick lunch at Thomson Plaza at this tiny homely cafe! Jjajang myeon ? had super bouncy and chewy noods, but was really just sauce and noodles. ? tbh I thought there’d be some meat or some other protein in it but nope. Seafood pancake was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside! Well executed. ?? Prices came up to $40+ for these 2 dishes which I found slightly on the high side. Edit: Owner has clarified that prices are $33.6 + service charge, I have lost my receipt but $33.6+service charge comes up to ~$37. So I guess it wasn't $40, although still close.

Lovely cafe with amazing food!!! Tried their army stew and Kong bingsoo combo for 2 and left very full and satisfied. Quite reasonably priced too! Will definitely be back :)

Quaint little Korean cafΓ© tucked away in a corner of Thomson Plaza. Unassuming but carries quite a range of food items from traditional Korean fare to more modern cafΓ© brunch items. Food quality is pretty above average across the boardβ€”had the jjajangmyeon and savoury wafflesβ€”those were great! Maybe not the best around but definitely punches above its weight for what it is. Service is fantastic.

Honey butter wings were amazing, army stew was very thick and unique compared to what we usually eat! Jajangmyeon was delicious and it was not overwhelming even after having several mouthfuls of it :) very satisfied with the quality of staff service here as well!

We loved what we ordered. However bacon was so thick that it’s very salty with each bite. Bulgogi bagel was tasty too, just a bit salty. Honey butter wings were very juicy with a fragrant crispy crust, very good, but since I already had the bagel so two wings made me feel full immediately. The waffle and bagel were quite thick so they were really filling. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was a little pricey but overall a solid and satisfying meal for two. Will come back again to try other items on the menu.

Ordered their dinner set which includes army stew and seafood pancake. Seafood pancake is crispy at the corners with slight chewy texture. They are also generous with their ingredients, which includes sotong. (Note: this is not the usual thin crispy Korean seafood pancake) Army stew was served with a generous portion of ingredients which includes ham, kimchi, sausages and many more. They allowed you to refill the soup if needed. The broth is slightly thicker than usual, so you may not fancy it if you have a lighter taste palette. Well, the only downside of this Korean cafe is that their menu is pretty limited and pricey (if you don’t buy their set meals).

first time leaving a google review, let alone a 1-star one. visited kong cafe since i saw many tiktoks videos about it but the experience was horrible. we ordered 6 original wings, 1 jajjangmyun set that came with a drink + two mandus as well as the army stew on 22nd april 2022. when we were served the dishes, the visual was just.. not right LOL. jajjangmyun was watery, unlike the usual thick kind that we would be used to seeing. army stew was super watery, you could barely see any ingredients on top since they were just sinked inside. jajjangmyun tasted extremely diluted, had zero taste to it. we could not finish the dish, ate till halfway & realised it’s all just oil, as seen in the picture, which was quite disgusting. the mandus were very average, but tasted better than the jajjangmyun. army stew was basically just extremely soggy ramyeon with quite little ingredients, not worth the the almost $30 we paid. chicken wings were alright, but they honestly just taste like old chang kee chicken wings so you really don’t have to travel all the way for those. the kong bingsu did not come with any condensed milk, so at the top of it, was basically just shaved ice, not much taste. but when you get to the bottom, the milk taste will then be very pronounced. portion was quite small considering how it was $18.80. you can find better bingsu at other places for a cheaper price. something i really would like to highlight is the customer service. the ladyboss did not allow an aunty to sit down while waiting for her takeaway (note that we went on a friday noon so the store was not packed, there were plenty of seats available)?? that was something i couldn’t really understand. we only managed to finish the wings, the drinks (milkis) & the kong bingsu out of everything we ordered. overall, not recommended, at all. you would not get what you expected to.
