The ikan bilis soup was perfect. It’s sweet and doesn’t need any other seasoning. The handmade yong tau foo pieces are all springy and fresh.

This is the famous ikan bilis (anchovies) yong tau foo. There is usually a queue for ordering the food but the queue get moving rather quickly. The yong tau foo meal is standard with dry out soup and comes with 4 standard items together with a bowl of noodles with the ikan bilis for only $3. There isn't much to choose from for additional option items. I ordered the standard dry noodles with 2 additional options (see 2nd photo). Though the bowl of noodles looks small in portion, it is enough for most. The noodles is cooked just right with the correct texture and the ikan bilis is crispy and tasty. The soup comes with the standard items in it. It was good. However, I find the fish ball a little hard. Will, definitely, come back and try again.

Passed by the stall and saw a really long queue for it and decided to join the queue. This is not your typical yong tau foo stall found at coffee shops, food courts and hawker centres as you can't pick the items that you want. There is a choice of 4 items with bee hoon / noodles and 6 items, both priced at $3. It's really a bargain at this price. The standard of the yong tau foo really trumps the factory made version served at other places. It also comes with a scoop of fried ikan bilis which provides some umami to the overall taste. I will definitely be returning to try the food again.

Wholesome bowl with six pieces of fresh yong tau ($3.50). The soup was tasty and umami rich with ikan bilis flavour. It comes with a spoonful of fried crunchy fried ikan bilis. Chili sauce brings a nice spicy and tang. Could sell out by 12.30pm on a weekday.

Worth the long queue. The Ikan Bilis was so crispy and goes well with the vermicelli. $3 for the basic and add $1 for a fish cake. Yums!

Small yet sufficient for a simple breakfast. Despite a queue, I got mine within 10min. Portion is standard with beadcurd and fishball. Add 70cents for a fried bittergound or egg plant. No sauce needed. The crispy ikan bilis blends perfectly with the noodle. Stall accepts cashless payment too.

My first time having this with dry kuay teow (rice noodles) and it was a good choice. Usually get the beehoon. The noodles goes well with the umami ikan billis sauce and chilli. 4 ingredients and noodles for $3, can’t beat that!

The basic set costs $3 and contains one piece of tofu, tau pok, tau kee and fish ball each and noodles with ikan bilis (kway tiao dry is famous here). Add ons include fish cake, bitter gourd and brinjal. Portions were extremely small but the taste was very unique and the overall food quality was above average (except for the fishballs). Stall owners were very pleasant and e-payment was available. Expects long queue.
