disappointing meal. beef tongue slices thick and chewy unlike other places. harami pieces look like pathetic scraps. this is not comparable to Yakiniku Like.

Very slow service, RAW food takes 45min to be ready, and the pathetic stove CAN'T cook the food. Chicken cube can NOT be cooked at all! 1st time in my life I need to wait over 10min to get a piece of BEEF to be cooked and edible.

Service was ridiculously slow! I waited 45min to receive my drink and 1hr to receive my food! Even if a chef is required to cook, 1hr is still a very long time to wait, let alone a restaurant who only needs to serve up raw food. I shudder to think how long the patrons next to me had to wait, considering they were there earlier than me! To make matters worse, the stoves weren't hot enough... cooking time was pathetic! Needless to say, I will not be a returning customer.

I wouldn't even give a star if google allows it! Tried many Yakiniku brands and this is the worse ever experience! Please enlighten me why do we even have to wait more than half hour to be served for raw food when your good restaurant is half empty?? Your staff just need to take out the raw meat, place on plate and serve raw! We top-up for L size setmeal and the portion is just a normal size. Such a thinnnn slice of Harubi even need to take 5mins to cook?!?!??! What kind of grill stove is this?? This "Yakiniku Ok!" is not okay!!

It is a big eating place that you can’t see the actual floor area from outside. Meat very well marinated & kimchi also very nice :-) The only thing is the bbq grill took a bit long to heat up so my girl finished her one bowl of rice with just the kimchi ? Aircon is a bit too strong so if you order soup just drink asap & if can leave the meat in the bbq pit till you want to eat it :) Staff are polite & one Indian boy even speaks fluent Mandarin!

Visited on a weekend evening and had to wait 5 mins to enter an otherwise empty restaurant having 3 floor staff with only 4 or 5 tables occupied. First impressions - spacious, looks clean with ambient music in the background. All looks good until you look into the grill which had leftover gunk at the bottom of it. An excellent incubation environment for bacteria? Hopefully not but imagine seeing that state of a grill before you start your meal. A huge demerit in my opinion. Order was via QR code following which you have to then do a self pickup. Ordered a 100g Karubi Shortplate Set ($10.80) that comes with rice, miso soup and kimchi, additional a la carte 50g Premium Wagyu Beef ($18.90) and 50g Rosu Beef ($6.90). Touting itself as a fastfood concept, it was anything but fast. Considering that all ordered items are raw, apart from the rice (additional at $2 each), soup and kimchi which should have been prepped before service, you would expect that all they had to do (with 2 kitchen staff and regardless how inexperienced) was to put everything together on a tray for pickup within a couple of minutes of receiving the order. 15 mins to do that with only 2 tables waiting for orders is unacceptable for fastfood. I'll let the price stated above and the photos speak for itself in terms of value for money. Personally felt shortchanged when comparing with the quantity of meat from HaiDiLao but at a price point of $10-$15 for a typical set, I could get a better deal at Yayoi with unlimited servings of Japanese shortgrain rice. The saving grace is that the meat, the kimchi and soup were all delicious when judging them individually so here's a star for it. In summary, while the food itself was great, the overall experience was not so great and would unlikely to visit again. Perhaps might have better luck with the other Yakiniku chains.

Just had a very enjoyable lunch at this new yakiniku store at White Sands Pasir Ris! It is located on the 2nd floor directly opposite the information counter. The cashier boss did tell me that I needed to wait 30 mins for my food due to it being a new kitchen. The foods all arrived within 15 mins. Meats were very fresh and as expected, dripping with all the goodness of the fat once on the grill! Very simple and minimalistic meal that included dips, white japonica rice, beef, kimchi and soup. Loved the design of the shop and even the serving tray as well…..Will surely be back at least once a week! *They currently have a 1 for 1 promotion for 200g beef karubi (27 June 2022)…Extremely value for money! Make sure to ONLY order the 200g beef karubi and not other sets if you want the 1 for 1 promotion. *Will be good to play some jazz or Japanese music in the restaurant. The place is really quiet except for the air vents blowing. (Update 3rd July 2022) - They are now playing some background music. *Please cut them some slack, it’s a new kitchen, they need time to get into rhythm. I don’t think they are deserving of the 1 star ratings. Imho it was a simple and good dining experience!

My wife and I went in during lunch time despite seeing the not-so-good review. Considering the price and quantity of the meat are comparable to other similar joints, how bad can it be, right? It was relatively empty so we were seated and got our food pretty fast. Soon after we started cooking, we realized that the major let-down was with grill. Two of us shared a small grill which only 2/3 of it was hot. It was quite interesting that despite the grill was already hot when we were seated, it still took some time to cook despite putting it in highest heat. It was not a fast BBQ unlike the name. The food tasted okay. The salad was really mini like it is said in the menu. May come back again in the future only if I have a lot of time to kill.
