Yankee Candle - Plaza Singapura

Favorite scent at home. Love yankee candle!!!

was casually browsing at plaza sing outlet and was served by Keusilyia. her knowledge on candles and great customer service rendered made me purchase my first yankee candle!

As the first to review this place, I will say that the current staff are very knowledgeable and friendly without being overbearing. I stood there for quite long trying to decide which scented diffuser to buy and the staff lady was very helpful indeed. Will come here again Indeed.

Visited yankee candle at plaza sing on 31 December 2021, hoping to get a gift for friend, however decided not to buy anymore as I am traumatised and disgusted by the lack of professionalism that service staffs showed. To clarify, I’ve never bought yankee candle before, but heard that it is great for gift so decided to go have a look. I was looking at the bundle which includes a large candle jar, however no price was stated regarding to the bundle, so I politely waited for the cashier to finish her transaction with the customer before asking her about the details of the bundle. There were two female stuffs working on that day, and there wasn’t much people in the store, probably just 2 or 3 customers, and what is more interesting is that both of the staffs were tending ONE customer at the cashier, and even when the transaction was over, both of them didn’t bother to even tell us more about the products and the deal/bundle. Thinking that it was new year eve and they might be rushing for orders, so I walked around in the store, hoping that they would somehow attend to me after other customers have left, as they were super active in taking initiative to entertain other customers who obviously came after me. Later everybody has left, and the shop only had me as their one and only customer, and as their service is disgusting and rude, one of the female staff had no manners and chose to arrange the candles right in front of me, completely oblivious to my presence, clearly not wanting to serve at all, specifically to serve me as a customer as they chose to do stock take even when I was in the store for about 15 minutes, and when I was the only customer in the store. “Subpar standard” is not something that can be used to describe their service, because they’re clearly worse than that. One rude staff is already unacceptable, but both of them showed the same attitude, as if I am coming to the shop to beg for their attention and assistance. First time considering buying yankee candles because they had good reputation, last time too because customers don’t owe the company money, and no customers will ever spend money to tolerate their cocky attitude and behaviour. If yankee candle is also oblivious to such lousy service that their staffs give, then may you be blessed with good business in future. Don’t go unless you want to ruin your mood. Service is trash and hopeless.
