great place for supper! I like that they mix yellow noodle and white beehoon as it gives texture. gravy was just the right amount, not too soggy or not too dry plus the chili paste they provide really packs a punch! worth a try as they are pretty generous with the seafood and they also have old school fried pork lard for those who ask politely

The selling point of this hokkien mee has to be its chilli - very spicy, guaranteed to give you a kick! Noodle has a nice mix of bee hoon and yellow mee and the gravy is flavourful too. Reason for 4 stars only is due to its portion. The size is pretty small for the price.

When we visited this place, it was around 7PM.. not much crowd, just a few people queuing. We compared the 2 hokkien mee that has the same name in english.. but not in chinese. so for people who cant read chinese the difference in name was super spicy and power chilli. and the signage was lighted on this one. I find that the presentation for both was the same. Basically no presentation at all. What I like in this noodle compared to the other one was it is less salty and it has a bit gravy however, the chilli was too spicy for me, the prawn and squid was tough/overcooked. And I didn’t like that it has too much beehoon and too little yellow noodle. If given a chance to ear here at Old Airport Road again, I would definitely NOT going to try this one again. I heard recommendations regarding this shop but, this wasn’t for me. Environment: 3/5 Waiting: 5/5 Taste: 2/5 Price: 3/5 Service: 4/5 What I liked: - the service was OK. the uncle was quite friendly. What I disliked: - i didn’t like the taste of the food.

Yummy hokkien noodle with abalone slices, those frozen one which u can find at supermarket. Noodle is very tasty not goggy. Very spicy chilli. Addictive!

The pork actually had a porky stench which overpowered the entire plate of Hokkien mee. Didn’t finish.

Was my favourite Hokkien Mee until now. Not had it since covid, was nearby today and decided to buy takeaway. Surprised there was no queue (I could guess why later), and was “greeted” by this guy looking nonchalantly at me, whom I will guess is Vietnamese from his mandarin accent. Only 2 sizes available, $5 and $8. Told him 2 packets (liang bao) of $5, he asked if I wanted chili, told him yes, paid and waited. Another guy came and ordered 2 plates (liang pan). I checked out the other stalls whilst waiting, then saw the other guy who ordered walking away with 2 plates. Walked back and saw 2 plates on counter so asked him if it was mine. Told him I wanted packet, he gave me a stare and said defensively I told him (liang pan), I told him I’m sure I said (liang bao). He grudgingly transferred the noodles from plate to packet whilst shaking his head disapprovingly the whole time. He then placed the 2 packets of noodles in a bag on the counter and left it there without saying anything or looking at me. Hokkien mee standard has dropped from the last time I had it, still acceptable but with the overdose of attitude from this Viet guy, I have no intention or reason to come again. I read some reviews from others about attitude from another Vietnamese lady, so I guess the two of them must be related and both must be unhappy to be working at this stall.

Hokkien mee was nicely done. Comes with some slices of fake abalone too. And chilli packs a bomb, so if you cant take spicy food you might wanna try it first. Minus one star because the broth was too sweet for my liking.
