Not much food choices in this small mall. This is in the open air space right in front of Cold Storage. Had the bara chirashi Don. $16.90 plus 10% Svc charge, hence $18.59. Taste wise it's OK. The rice could be more though. Portion of fish is considered generous. The sauce drizzled on the rice/fish is nice. No ice water served. Accepts credit card. Would I make a trip to eat this? No. But it's not a bad choice.

Beautiful presentation. Slow preparation, but food was satisfying. Food portion is very suitable for ladies, for men maybe need to order abit more if you eat a lot. The floss is a new taste and is surprisingly nice.

was a fan of its spicy salmon aburi don but now it’s mediocre and i’m not sure about revisiting again. the don used used to be adorned with aburi salmon cubes, ikura and a viscous spicy sauce but today’s order came with just a few slices of salmon with a watery spicy sauce and just a few spheres of ikura. it looked and tasted pathetic. its miso soup tasted like water too - i’d have been better off with the instant miso soup at home.

i ordered delivery and the black pepper buta don was overloaded with the sauce which was very very salty. (80% of the rice is just soaked in sauce) and there was a sushi roll that came with it which i didn’t order and the rice was super dry and hard like super undercooked. there was also a drink that looks like green tea which wasn’t in my order and was just super diluted like water.

Decent. They have another outlet. The one here at Kovan seems understaffed :( Pro tip: Use ShopBack for 5% cashback

Had Salmon Aburi Don ($14.90) sent to my place, this is one that is indeed value for money given the generous serving of perfectly cooked salmon slices, topped with ikura and tobiko. My boy loved the Champion Floss and Samurai Unagi Aburi Maki too! Will be back again!

Used to always go for their Champion Floss Maki when I was in the Kovan neighbourhood! Got to try it again this time round and it was exactly how I remember it to be. The salmon was aburi-ed before being piled with a generous serving of chicken floss, tobiko and mayo sauce. Somewhat like an over-the-top sushi, it can get jelak if you attempt to finish it by yourself, so this is great if you're dining in a group! Had the chance to try a couple of their donburi and other dishes as well: > Beef Steak Don > Saba Don > Salmon Don > Buta Yaki Don > Tori Kara Udon > Samurai Unagi Aburi Maki The most memorable don has got to be the Spicy Salmon Aburi Don. Somewhat like a deconstructed Champion Floss Maki, the salmon pieces were piled atop the rice, along with golden globes of ikura that burst in your mouth with every bite. Again, the sauce can be a little rich so it does bogged you down after a while.

Yummy aburi sushi rolls and japanese rice bowls at YuBa Hut. We had a satisfying meal with delicious Japanese food and lovely company. Go on Tuesday for their Champion Maki Promo 8pcs for only $9.90! (usual $16.90) My kid’s favourite dish! We’ll be back soon! ?
