★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow, what an awesome chill place! This is a must visit place. Had an awesome chat with Marcus, the owner. Food, coffee, and beer! Great pit stop on green corridor! Will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a joy to finally have a cafe at this key historic site looking at Bukit Timah Railway Station from 1932.
A modern look thoughtfully decorated with historical themes, inquisitive minds will enjoy the installations and authentic atmosphere of a luxury 1st Class waiting room.
The Cafe serves delicious Italian style coffee (no kopi here) and fabulous food. The spicy Malay Rendang Beef Pie was just nice.
Congratulations 1932 Cafe and thank you for your investment into this community. Jia you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ hello to the staff and owner! i would like to share my experience here. the pies were good, namely the salmon, mushroom chicken and beef rendang. but a lot of menu options were sold out, including the pasta which were disappointing.
the drinks, however, really really bad. especially the matcha water and smoke and herbs tea latte which tasted like murky, pandan water. so diluted. the matcha was some strange concoction of flowery liquid, (similar to the alley's bubble tea i suppose), a very foreign taste to the normal japanese matcha latte people are used to. we asked them to remake it again and it was slightly better but still very strange. the only thing decent was the chai latte. no idea how they managed to make the drinks as the ice was also not consistent for all the drinks.
the young boy servers looked very lost and new to the place (mixed all our pies up, we had to figure out which one was one eventually), but they were accommodating to our requests, maybe they could undergo some proper training for fnb?
the saving grace which i found very unique was the nice ambience, which was cosy and chic, place filled with retro furniture. air con is a great respite from the heat outside.
overall, would not recommend drinks unfortunately. really a hit or miss i guess so don't come to this place with super high expectations :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited on 14/07/2022. It is named after the year of Bukit Timah Railway Station built. Located within the Bukit Timah Railway Station Community Node along the Rail Corridor. This cafe is transformed from the former railway staff quarters. There's indoor and outdoor seatings. For indoor is air-condition. All dining tables and chairs are retro furnitures which gave you a feeling of home. Outdoor dining majority of the tables and chairs are in the shape of a tree trunk.
In order to view the menu and orders, all you have to do is scanning the QR code provided on each tables. The system is Tabsquare, where you habe to enter your email address and placed orders paid through credit or debit card. There are western, local and ice cream choices. Actually wanted to try the Mee Siam or Laksa but sold out so ordered Smoked Salmon Quiche with fries $10.90, taste-wise just normal, fine for me but my personal opinion find the salmon chunks is in a less portion. Ice Citrus Jelly $6 is refreshing and there's jelly cubes in it after my hiking from Singapore Quarry and continues hike through Rail Corridor Central then reached here in a ? weather. Double Scoop ice cream tried the Oolong tea flavour and Pistachio flavour which have to add $1each for premium flavours so is $10.20. Pistachio is stronger so I know is Pistachio as both flavours that I ordered the colour is light. As for the Oolong tea, hmm, can taste is Oolong.
Service-wise is friendly and fast. Food wise, my suggestion the local dishes, can be available for whole days as my receipt shown the timing is 10:58am so is still early and all are sold out. Happy to dine in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful setting next to the Old railway station. Ordered smoked coffee and croissant which was decent. The yam gelato was nice with hints of pandan

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really love the colonial era feel of this place. The food and coffee were a letdown though especially for the price. The coffee had a sour taste. The chicken gravy was good but there were only a few bits of celery besides. The online order system also discourages a return visit. You have to give an email address and pay by typing in your credit card details. There is also no description of the menu items.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heard about the revamped Bukit Timah Station and the Staff Quarters Cafe and decided to visit since it’s one of my favourite walking/running routes.
The decor and ambience is definitely the main draw here for me. Came on a weekday lunch time and half crowded only in the aircon section. Quite a chill place. (The staff say the weekend was very crowded tho)..
The American Beef Pie (French fries included) I had was pretty good. Not gourmet standard but what you would expect if you went to say Starbucks.
The Flat White was quite good.
Price wise similar to any town cafe but you won’t get the same ambience as here!
You are encouraged to pay by Apple Pay or credit card via their app. Cash apparently takes ‘a long time’ so remember to bring your credit card (luckily I did)
