Able Best - Trusted Singapore Maid Agency - 8 Holland Ave

I've been using this agency for more than 8 years now and have hired a few helpers from them. Not all worked out well but mostly still ok. The staff will always assist whenever we have issues with the helpers despite their busy schedule. Not the cheapest agency around but their service level makes up for it. Would definitely recommend this trusted agency.

Great services provided to help bring in my helper. Was with me step by step and patiently guided me through the processes. They even helped me settle my issues during the 3 years my helper has been with me.

My previous maid agency had ceased operation and I was at a desperate loss on which other reliable agencies are there to renew my FDW’s work permit and Home Leave processing. Her work permit is expiring soon and she wants to return home the same month. Did a Google search and Able Best came back with the most positive reviews. Meanwhile, I emailed Able Best and other shortlisted agencies seeking advice as due to the Covid pandemic, my FDW did not return home for the past 4 years and documentation was very messy. True enough, Able Best (Charles) was the only agency that replied me. Replies to my queries were well detailed & promptly. I would like to compliment Charles. He was sincere and professional in ensuring the work permit renewal, home leave application and flight ticket purchase went smoothly and fuss free. All in the comfort of my home, the only time was dropping by their office to collect my FDW’s passport. Charles was willing to make arrangements for me to collect it after office hours (thankfully that didn’t happen). Due to the Covid pandemic, rules & guidelines change frequently. Charles went the extra mile to drive to my home to collect my FDW’s passport as he was afraid the work permit might not be renewed in time for her scheduled return to the Philippines. Collection of documents was a breeze. All documents were kept in a folder. Charles also advised me to get pre-departure ART instead of a PCR test instead when I had doubts on which to take. Thinking that my dealing with Able Best would end there, Charles contacted me few days later when he was informed that pre-departure ART was not required, helping me save further money. It is difficult nowadays to find an agency that is actually on the customer’s side for a change. Comparing to my previous maid agency that I have been using for decades. They are miles apart in terms of customer service and professionalism. Able Best has exceeded my expectations and I have become a fan of Able Best and will definitely engage them for future services and recommend them to friends and family.

Able Best is one of the better agencies out there. My husband and I are very pleased with their service. The helper we engaged is good too, we had a bit of misunderstanding initially in the first week, but it was due to the language barrier. We decided she is new and fresh, comes from afar to work, and we need to give people a chance to learn and grow. Today (her 4th week), she has proven that she is very eager to learn new stuff and hardworking too, so I have decided to put this review. Throughout, the helper also never wakes up late and would find stuff to pack/ clean even if there isn't much to do. I believe that the way a helper behaves also boils down and reflects the agency as they must have guided them well. Overall, I am very pleased that I picked this agency (that is not stacked among the so many in Katong). 100% recommended.

We are a young couple hiring a helper to partially look after new born baby for short hours and simple house chores. Before hiring, we received many bios. We chose a helper and paid in full with our hard earned money. The helper we chose mistreated our few days old baby, now causing us to lose income and lack of rest that lead to one of us having high fever, we sent her back to agency and requested for transfer helper. Thereafter, the agents have not been proactive in sending the helper bios. I had to constantly ask and request and I was not taken seriously to the point that agent did not inform me of interview cancellation and gave excuses. We do know that we are on the disadvantage as we are new in this. We tried calling to the agent to speak but the calls were avoided Able best displays unreliability and untrustworthy that leaves us utterly disappointed and exhausted. We managed to get a helper quickly by Able Best with a right fit for my mum. Charles provided good advice on getting all the paperwork completed. He also shared tips to maintain a good relationship with the helper. I am hiring a helper for the first time and appreciate these advices and support.
