Hi town council. At tpy blk 105 level 9 is dangerous. Please help

Dear Sir, We had earlier reported to BTPTC on water leakage from the rooftop garden onto our unit's kitchen and its adjoining bedroom back in May 2020. With the easing of the lockdown and the foreign workers cleared of Covid-19, BTPTC's contractor's workmen were able to carry out waterproofing works on the said rooftop on 24 Aug 2020 (Mon). But immediately on the next morning of 25 Aug 2020 (Tues), a group of gardening workers carried out gardening works on the said rooftop, with 5 jumbo bags of weeds and dried leaves being cleared. We were concerned whether there was sufficient time for the waterproofing material laid to be cured/dried up in less than a day. If not, then the waterproofing material laid might be damaged by the gardening workmen and their tools. This then would render the waterproofing works carried out fruitless. As Mr Chew Lin Kiat, the Property Executive in charge of our block, is relinquishing his duties in BTPTC, we wrote to Mr Zulkiflee on 27 Aug 2020 (Thurs) expressing our concern. Immediately on 28 Aug 2020 (Fri) the next day, Mr Zulkiflee came down to inspect the waterproofing works on the rooftop. We had the privilege to invite Mr Zulkiflee to our unit to view the damage caused to our kitchen (where the false ceiling is near collapse) and its adjoining bedroom because of the water leakage from the rooftop garden. We are impressed by Mr Zulkiflee's professionalism and technical expertise, that after viewing the said kitchen and its adjoining bedroom and another climb-up to the rooftop, more critical areas on the rooftop need to be carried out to rectify the water leakage issue from the rooftop garden. We are thankful for Mr Zulkiflee's professional expertise. In addition, we were pleasantly surprised that BTPTC's contractor's men came down the next day on 29 Aug (Sat), following Mr Zulkiflee's inspection on 28 Aug (Fri), to carry out more waterproofing areas on the said rooftop. We would like to put on record our deepest appreciation to Mr Zukiflee for both his professionalism, and prompt and immediate action to our concerns. There was a drain blockage outside my unit. When it rained, water would gush out of the drain and flood the corridor outside both my unit and my neighbour’s unit. I brought it up several times and some people were sent to take a look after the water had drained, and they told us that the issue was solved. However, the next time there was heavy rainfall, the corridor was flooded again. I had reported it via one service as well. When it rained on the 18th of May, I called the Bishan Town Council branch. I was attended to by a staff by the name of Gracie Leong. I requested for staff to come down so that they could see what the problem was while it rained. She escalated the issue, and within an hour, Town Council staff Evonne Teng and Yu Xieng came. Despite the heavy rain, they went around to check the drainpipes below the block and came back up to inform us that they had identified the problem and would take the necessary actions to resolve it. Within a few hours, Evonne called to inform that the blockage had been cleared and asked me to monitor the drain and let me know that I could call back if there was still an issue. I would like to thank and commend the 3 staff named above for their timely efforts to help this issue which had been affecting us for weeks. Thank you very much and keep up the good work!

Reported on a damage. After two days, there was no response. Call again to report, a staff Garcie answered the call and says she will call the contractor. Called her again half an hour later to enquire about the outcome. But ,this time round, nobody wanted to answer the phone. Wonder is this the kind of working attitude acceptable working in the town council? Haizzz

I would like to compliment the officer from the call centre who answered my call and the town council officer who followed up on my case on 28 April, regarding a leaking stop valve. I'll like to compliment Farhan for being a responsible and efficient staff of Bishan TC. I've reported to him on my toilet ceiling leakage and he had been such a great help so far. However, on the other hand, after the case was passed to Bishan HDB branch, it's a different story. They have been sitting on my case for a month so far even after emails from Farhan and my call. Very disappointing.

I would like to ask the small walkway beside the playground is it for people to walk pass or for children to put whatever onto it??? Please refer to photo 02, the child just put the bicycle on the pathway and disappear, when ask to move it away, still can argue with me, please come and check about this matter.... The playground behind Blk 79E Toa Payoh Lor 4 near the rubbish collection center ....

I live in Block 444 Sin Ming Avenue and I do my morning exercises between 6 and 9am daily around my vicinity. I would like to compliment this wonderful brother who works quietly, sweeping the jogging paths, outdoor gym and clearing the rubbish. I don't know his name but he will politely greet me every morning when we bump into each other. I hope someone will relay this message to him and he be rewarded for his good job.
