Went to eat as a family of six, and took them 5mins to figure out how to sit us. The place didn’t want to combine 2 table and wanted to squeeze all 6 of us on 1 small table that catered for 4 people. Kept redirected the situation when we asked why they did not want to combine the table. Place wasn’t even busy and filled with customers at that time. Such ridiculous experience and service. Decided not to eat there as it took them so long to decide on how to sit a big family.

Order the butter prawns! Very buttery batter, and crispy. We also ordered the assam fish head curry, cereal chicken and black pepper beef. All tasted delicious. A pretty good addition to the neighbourhood (:

Champion breakfast was decent. Went there for the one for one opening promotion so it was very worth it. Drinks were of large portion and the dining environment feels comfortable ! Recommend couples & families to go since it’s located conveniently at downtown east.

Went during a weekend dinner timing, while the restaurant was packed, there wasn’t much of a queue outside. We ordered their Granny Cockles, Sambal Sotong, Cereal Chicken and a Hotplate Tofu. The cockles were delicious although it was quite spicy. The sotong was disappointing as we were expecting fresh squid, but frozen squid was used instead. Both the chicken and tofu were alright and nothing to write home about. Drinks were worth the price as they came in large glasses, but perhaps a long spoon should be provided to stir the drink.

Came on a Sunday afternoon around 11am and the queue was rather long, probably because it was the last day of promotion. We ordered the Champion Breakfast Set (usual price S$12.90), one iced kopi (S$3.50) and one hot kopi (S$2.30). The drinks came soon after ordering, but we waited about 20 minutes before food was served. The food was average -- The bread was bland, scrambled eggs were overcooked and the hashbrown was quite oily. The drinks were alright, except that they are on the sweeter side. I don't think I will visit again if there's no promotion. FYI, the old school biscuits are priced at S$2.50 per 100 gram.

We had wanted to try the food here after feedback from neighbors who ate last week when the eatery opened, especially with the 1 for 1 champion breakfast as well as the various tidbits that were shared out FOC. We arrived at 510 pm on a Sunday evening and managed to snag a table. The place filled out fast and by 6 pm, there was quite a queue. The decor is nostalgic and fun. But dinner here was not - the first dish arrived within 10 minutes, while the black pepper beef arrived around 25 minutes. We had to keep chasing for the third dish, which only arrived after about 40 minutes. The drinks had arrived within 5 minutes of ordering using the QR code. The seafood fried rice looked and tasted bland, and the serving grace was the sambal chilli with lime that gave it some punch. The black pepper beef was okay, but was a small portion for the price. The pan bee hoon was okay, but again could have been tastier. A plus was that the bee hoon was crispy and charred nicely, and the ingredients were fresh. Iced tea O was a large portion for the $3.90 price, though the hot version was $1 less. Did not know ice cost so much. It was good that they had Fanta grape as a drink option. Overall, it was an okay meal but we are unlikely to want to return. They only accept Nets and cash at present.

Really love the decor and ambiance! Food and drinks is very large portion at a rather reasonable price! Almost 900ml? For $4.50 Breakfast is only 12.90 that is a plate full of food! The replica of mamashop is 1-1 ? you can even purchase the little snacks and toys from them! How nostalgic! Love it!

The decor of the place was quite interesting and was reminiscent of void deck mama shops. Ordered the Champion’s Breakfast set and was informed kindly by the staff that there was going to be a 30 minute waiting time. Understandable, since there was a decent crowd when we arrived. The food was relatively decent for its price, and the staff did try their best to have good service and was very friendly. However, I have to note that we were given stained cutlery, nothing too major, probably just water marks from dishwashing that were wiped off easily with a piece of tissue. That being said, the good service and the design of the place was interesting enough that I may go back again when I’m around the area.
