First time eating here for a set of Kampong chicken rice. Every rice and meat and sauces tastes good. Chilli is spicy enough for me, and the green ginger taste good too without strong ginger smell. Price is consider cheap, mere $4.8 including GST.

Very smooth chicken, rice portion rather small. Also they have some variety of nice side dishes.

Ordered the single pax chicken breast meat set. Kampung chicken meat was indeed more flavourful but also less tender. The meat was drizzled in light soy sauce gravy, which imparted light fragrance and savoury taste. Rice was surprisingly fragrant but not fluffy enough. Chilli was on the more vinegary side. Overall, the chicken rice was well-executed. Not greasy, not jelat. Dining environment was clean and service prompt.

One of the better chicken rice, they use kampung chicken so it’s slightly smaller but the texture is better and tastier, price is reasonable too. Soup is also available on request for free.

shockingly their so called kampong chicken is tasteless. ? not even on par with the regular farmed chicken. must be "cheong" one loh. ? 1 star for being food. not going to waste time and ink commenting on their service, specifically that one lady with greyish green hair. you are so pathetic. ???? ?

Queue was very long, tough to find a parking lot during the weekends as well. Ended up here as it's my sister's birthday celebration and she wanted to bring us to try the food. Am not a foodie, so I can't really tell if a food is really good (or really bad), as long as the food isn't spoilt, I will be okay with it. But I can't really find the taste any different (or better) than the usual chicken rice out there..... to be worth the 30% more for a whole chicken (which is slimmer than those out there as it's from Kampong). Dad said 1 whole chicken out there is $22? Am not sure as I usually just eat a plate by itself..... I guess food taste is "okay", but I can't seem to understand how this is really a different better taste to be worth the much increased cost...... the queue is super long though, I hope my 3 stars review doesn't bring down their business much, from my honest personal opinion..... at least I see much more 5 stars, if not I wouldn't even put a 3 stars for a business. Know it's tough to run any business :P If you want to give this a try, upper Thomson MRT is right beside, so can save the Earth and also the parking horror :)

We stumbled across a hidden gem while running errands in the area. The words Kampong chicken on the signage drew us there. We went in around 11am right before the lunch crowd, and the place was jam packed by 1145am. Large quantity takeaways slowed down the queue but the wait was not too long if you were already seated. The chicken has a certain tenderness that is not found elsewhere. The rice is a bit less oily and fragrant for my taste but I guess it is more healthy this way. Will definitely return while avoiding the crowd.
