My friends and I were ordering enthusiastically and then the staff told us gently… maybe a bit too much. We laughed. It’s nice that the staff showed genuine concern

Food was good. Service was prompt. The restaurant was quite empty during lunch when we went in. Their air con was very cold at certain tables area.

Dishes are very good. Just disappointed with the service standards. Specifically requested the vegetable to be served with the claypot rice, which would take at least 30 minutes. Vegetable was plated 10 minutes later. We reminded the staff, who took back the vegetable. The vegetable was eventually served with the claypot, but was no longer hot.

This revamped crystal jade looks posh. Air conditioning is at arctic level. If you want some tim sum come best before 6pm otherwise you might be disappointed. Food wise to be very frank has been deteriorated over the years. From great to good. My mango shrimp breaded puff has more mayonnaise than any of the 2 ingredients listed. HK noodles still has it . The chewiness and texture are still intact. Lard rice is the best where by crispy lard married the high grad short grains. The fragrance of the lard and soya sauce on rice elevate the already silky pork lard lubricated rice. Each month is a mouth spa experience. Given the mall's revamp, there are many Chinese Food option available. This store definitely has its place in GWC.

Went before noon and had to wave to announce presence & get a seat. Was initially given table 36 and had swiped an ant down the table. Then another came by few mins later, and a third. Unsure if it is the aircon vent, but requested to change table before food arrives. We had the beef brisket soup noodle, porridge, and eight treasure tea. 4 stars given for the food as it is still tasty after having not been here for a long while. Partner drank the tea and it leaked out, tried another angle same thing. Had to ask a waitress aunty who showed us separation of the cup (assuming we knew a separation was needed). No cards discount, free membership available. Price is on the high side.

The deep fried pumpkin and silver fish tasted pretty greasy after my first piece. My recommendation is to go for the deep fried tofu instead. The portion of beef seems more at its Tampines Mall outlet. Seafood porridge has generous ingredients. Spent about $60.

We came here for a slightly late lunch. It was fairly quiet and we had no trouble getting a table. Service was prompt and friendly, and we enjoyed all the dishes we had. I particularly liked that the cha shao bao were not overly sweet. The roast meats were good, too, though the signature roast pork belly was a tad on the salty side. It’s a little pricier than some of the other places we go, but the quality was good and we were happy with the meal.
