Finally DONKI in the east! Love the fresh food and bento sets. Affordable sashimi here as well! Plenty of snacks and drinks to buy from. Staff are friendly. The only downside is that the store is a little cramp. Will come again!

Editing my review for this outlet. Previously I gave a 5 star rating when it first opened. After visiting the outlet on weekends and peak hours on weekdays, there should be a serious consideration being undertaken on the design of this outlet. The queue to the cashier can start from the cashier, passing by the fridge for cold drinks, then to the hot food area and all the way from the sashimi area until to the meat chiller area. Maybe this is intentionally part of the shop's design but it dampens the shoppers' experience in the store. The picture that comes with this review was taken on 09 August 2021, I noticed this item at the discount rack. However, I would like to highlight that this item has already past its expiry date almost 5 months and yet it is still being attempted to be sold. On top of that, was it necessary to have at least 3 discount stickers on this item? Or was that an attempt to cover up all traces of any possibility that the bread is already well past its consume by date? Food for thought. Also, commenting on my visit today, 14 Aug 2021, understandably that on a weekend, there would be a crowd and a long queue to make payment. While I was waiting for my friend to be done before we make payment for our purchases, I noticed some things are pretty peculiar. Firstly, I could see that there are cashiering staff in different uniforms. Some with lanyards, some without lanyards, some clad in blue polo tee and some in a white blouse. This clearly indicates that there is a shortage of cashiering staff. Next, I noticed the words on one of the on the lanyards, "Duty Manager", then, I saw 2 ladies, in the white blouse, also having the lanyards, walking away from the payment counters while the poor guy continues at the cashier counter. I am certain those 2 ladies are also cashiering staff as most of them are in that uniform. However, walking away during the peak periods and leaving the other staff in the lurch, I am not too sure if that is how operations should be run in a store. In conclusion, there is much room for improvement, with regards to this outlet.

Donki downtown east is a shrunk version among all Singapore outlets, mainly focus on food. The choices of Benton sets and sashimi, desserts are almost like the other branches. The queue on the weekends are quite long especially in the afternoon near lunch/dinner time. People like to come here to pick up those cooked/hot food for a quick japanese taste.

The store feels neither small nor big, it is the right size for all your cravings for everything japanese. Really love the variety of cup noodles that are imported from Japan, it is a must try for everyone! Also to note, there is an area allocated for dining in if you want to try the instant meals.

This donki outlet is rather small and can get squeezy at times. As expected of a smaller outlet, range of products are limited. Check in was a breeze and sanitisers are provided and placed at strategic spots. cashier was friendly and quite fast, so there was not much of a queue there despite it being kinda crowded. Packing area is outside of the store and there were only a few vacant space, but people were fast so it's ok.

Quite a small store compared to the other outlets but it has most of the things, except for some extravagant fruits and food etc. staff are friendly and trainees are nice! Quite a distance from the carpark though.

A smaller store compared to the others but still it caters and carry items I need! There's fresh vegetables, sushi, sashimi and desserts, frozen meat, dry stores and so much more! A small yet comprehensive outlet in the East! Recently I tried these fettuccine gummy, which were sour and sweet - great as a wake up me chewy treat. Oh yes, try to avoid going on a weekend or be prepared to Queue to checkout!
