Yummy food. Very impressed by the fried porridge. Love the smokiness in it. The bak kut teh was savoury too. Prefer the Geylang Klang bak kut teh more as it is more tasty, but this could be down to personal taste preferences. My only real concern when enjoying a meal that is SOOOO tasty is that it's usually unhealthy ?

I am a big fan of Klang Herbal Bak Kut Teh, tried quite some in Singapore and to the point of even cooking myself. The herbal bak kut teh was good, slightly on the milder side for me, suitable for newbies who are first introduce to herbal bak kut teh. What I love about the dry bak kut teh was the fragrance of the thinly slice cuttlefish fry in the sauce with dried chilli. I enjoyed dipping my youtiao in it as it seem to soak up all the flavours. I love how well the ribs and pork belly are done in both the soup and dry bak kut teh, tender and soft. The meat are separated from the bone without any effort. This I once read, is probably how you tell that ribs are at their best when they're cooked. Here at Feng Xiang, not only do they serve Bak Kut Teh, but also Fried Porridge. We have gotten the FX Pork Cutlet Fried Porridge. For those who are new to fried porridge will probably be surprise by the “wok hei”. The pork cutlet was fried well done to crisp, and was really juicy when chewed upon. We also had the Braised Beancurd Stick, You Tiao and Fried Mee Sua on the side. Overall, it is a pleasant meal. Recommend anyone who is in the area to give it a try.

This is the first time I have fried porridge. I have been hesitating to try this dish because in my mind the two words just don’t gel and it does not look appealing. But the smell of the food here made me wanted to give it a try. It was a great decision. The FX pork cutlet porridge is just so amazing, period. The porridge is full of wok hei, a bit sourish which could be vinegar which makes it very appetising. The pork cutlet is very crispy. The herbal BKT is also very good, and super value for money for the amount of ingredients. For the price, the dishes here is a must try.

Quite okay Bak Kut Teh done in Malaysian style. Had the authentic taste although the broth could be stronger, and the meat wasn't fall-off-the-bone. Unfortunately they said there wasn't enough broth today so I couldn't add soup. The fried porridge was nice though.

The porridge has a strong wok hei, ordered sliced pork and the meat is tender. Tasty porridge with some shredded cuttlefish. If they use real fresh shallots, not the dried ones and top up with pork lard will be perfect!

Come here for the fried porridge, not the BKT. Taste wise, I've had the large herbal BKT soup and I my only complaint is that is a little too sweet which prevented me from harassing the staff for soup refills, but it does hit the herbal notes well and the pork is good! In fact, the meat here is perfect. (Marsiling is better in this aspect, because soup > meat for BKT to me) Come here for the fried porridge, I'm new to fried porridge but wow I was immediately sold. The wok hei hit every grain if that made sense. Like a highly reduced mui fan stewed in some magic stock. Good stuff! The fried mee sua was a miss, it tasted like the Unif Tung-1 instant noodles (chicken and abalone flavor) haha.

Mediocre food quality. Braised pig trotter was over cooked. The meat was extremely dry and tough. The soup wasn’t as tasty as other Malaysian herbal Bak Kut Teh I’ve tried. The stir-fried liver is fine. I would recommend it if you love fermented black beans. I love the stall’s condiments section tho. They have loads of raw garlic. And they use good quality black sauce too.

It's our first fried porridge try and it was pretty good! The texture has an added dimension (there are some tasty crispy bits inside) and the flavours are stronger than the non-fried version; more importantly, wife likes it a fair bit. The BKT was less satisfying though - the herbal flavours were less intense than some other versions we had before, and the meat was kinda tough (struggled to get them off the bone). Still, it's worth a try if you're in the area; we are very likely to return for the porridge. ?
