★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Popped in for a dinner catch up with friends. Menu consist of Taiwanese and Japanese fusion mix. Ordered prawn rolls, truffle fries to share and we each had our individual bowl. I had the char siew bowl and the char siew was prepared in the manner that I like - thickly coated with sauce and there is a good part of tender meat and fats giving the char siew different dimension of taste. Definitely promising. Will be back to try other items on the menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ loved the fried tofu bowl! the eggs had a strong aroma of truffle which i enjoyed, and the tofu was agedashi-style, and done perfectly! they have a $9.90 set lunch (bowl, miso soup, drink), which is super worth it. a little too much sauce for my liking, but honestly just looking forward to eating this again!
for people who enjoy less sweet drinks, definitely ask them to halve the sugar in your choice of drink.
music can be a little loud though, and like another reviewer mentioned, the smell is a little strong. sitting outside is pretty pleasant!
service is also very good :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice comforting rice bowls. Portion can be a little bigger but taste wise, the food is well prepared and seasoned. The eggs are really silky which works well with the proteins. The charred broccoli also tasted amazing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw their lunch deal and thought will give them a try. $9.90 for a bowl, drink and miso soup. I tried the tofu bowl that came with truffle eggs. The tofu has a like truffle taste, not sure if it was from the eggs. The tofu is soft with a crispy batter. A pleasant meal. The beef bowl is not too bad as well. Value for money. The drinks include yuzu drink as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Knew this restaurant for their affordable beer. But it was during lunch, so we didn’t try that. Had the set lunch that’s served from 12-5pm, Monday to Sunday. It comes with drinks and miso soup. Love the name; Comfort rice bowl, pretty comforting la. All is good except that the exhaust in the shop was pretty bad. Reeked entirely like we just done a big cooking in the kitchen. But overall, nice plating of the food, delicious and friendly staffs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Repeat customer for their comforting rice bowls. Favourite here would be the fried tofu bowl with fried silken tofu, mushrooms and truffle scrambled eggs. Topped up for their grilled broccoli. The eggs are amazing - creamy and well-seasoned. Prices are especially affordable with Burpple Beyond 1 for 1 promo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the newest eatery at Funan. Their concept is interesting as they served a mixed of Taiwanese-Japanese rice bowls.
I tried both the beef and teriyaki chicken and I must said I'm pretty impressed with the taste. Both meat were well marinated and the rice was soft and fluffy(jasmine rice). The truffle scrambled eggs(additional side) was pretty solid, with the strong truffle aroma and the smooth scrambled.
Would I recommend? Although the meal looks mediocre, but they really put in effort towards its taste. "Yes", if you are there for a catch-up or takeaway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used the Burpple 1-for-1 deal for their fried tofu rice bowl, and paid about $10.50 for the meal, which was really worth!!! The tofu rice bowl came with scrambled eggs, braised mushrooms and fried tofu (taste like agedashi tofu without the sauce)!! Food was served fast too, and it came along with miso soup!
They do have lunch set during weekdays, which includes a drink for about $10!
