All was well until we were Attended by a very very rude and impatient staff at the cashier. When asked how to show that we are member, she rolled her eyes impatiently and raised her voice as such and said " it's through AN APP " and followed with her displaying an obvious attitude and juding look that we enquired how to show that we are member. We further asked if we can just provide our phone number for verification instead, she replied a whole line of rubbish gibberish while frowning and using a very angry tone which basically in a nutshell telling us to go deal with it ourselves. It's not like we were asking for anything out of the line, but just simply how to show membership verification. When making payment, we said thank you when she passed us the recipet with 1 hand using her fingertips whilst she just rolled her eyes and displayed a body language that she just wanted us to get lost. Got our table at 7pm Saturday 11 June 2022 which was prime time for dinner and the 30% of the items on menu was already sold out (mostly left with salmon and cooked stuff). They even came to ask to cancel one of our order due to it being sold out. Service was bad as we waited for 20 mins for the first item to be serve. WHY? because they were busy with the takeout. (other tables waited too). went to complain to the manager and surprising all orders came within 3 mins.

Staff were unhelpful and while maintaining a polite disposition they clearly were afraid of answering questions because they have very poor product knowledge. I ever once got served hamachi and got told and insisted it’s mekajiki and until i insisted the staff to bring in and check with the chef, the staff finally does it and came back apologizing she was wrong. They werent clear how the pre-membership work on the app and can’t explain it. I am prepared to take “i don’t know as an answer” but their general tone was just clearly evasive and push me to each other. When asked if my past transactions qualify, the bald staff went “i wouldn’t know how much you spent” without even looking, but in the app it does show how much i spent. Various incidents show the staff are too sure of themselves and unwilling to show a bit of humility and be sincere about helping customers. If you wonder why they have 2.1 star while most other genki can muster 3 or 4ish, there is a reason. Come here a few visits and you’ll know why. Oh and the wait time is consistently 2 hours.

I was just about to get a queue number for 2 pax at VivoCity outlet @ 8.59 (24 march 2022) when the shorter lady staff refuses to let us go in even though the last order was 9.30 and there was no queue infront of us. Also they let another pair go in before us right infront of our eyes. They didn't give us explanation but simply say counter queue is close. We found the experience to be very aloof and bizzare. Maybe we looked like kids and they rather serve middle age adults ? It was a disappointing encounter. Sent a feedback email and didn’t get any acknowledgment at all!

Food was decent, service was terrible. I work in the service industry too and I do understand that sometimes one might be irritated by customers. However, do not vent such fustrations on the customers themselves. That is common sense. My sister signed up for your genki membership and was entitled to 5 percent off. We realized that the 5 percent had not been deducted and wanted to make an enquiry. So we headed back. My sister did not make a fuss and if the discount error was an honest mistake we would have left it at that since it was only 5 percent. However, this particular staff was rude about it even went so far as to say that my sister did not tell the cashier that she wanted the discount. After which we told him no, and the cashier also said that we did...he proceeded to snatch the receipt from her and storm into the backroom. Please be more professional in the way you deal with your customers. We frequent your outlets often and this is by far the most infuriating experience we had. Luckily the manager was nice and handled the situation properly.

I am a Genki Sushi regular and have been to many outlets such as the one in Nex, Ngee Ann City, Junction 8 etc. The is by far the worse outlet in terms of food quality and service. The picture shows how bad the sushi can get. Other outlets never torch a sushi until the rice get burnt. We order the kitsune udon too, but the soup is slightly warm and the fish cake is cold. It is not hot as how it should be The free wifi provided to order food is bad too. Connection is no good. I never thought I had to check the review for Genki Sushi as quality has always been very good. But this is just bad.

The food arrived fast and it was okayyy but we found this in the chawamushi. (They said it is the mushroom that's burnt) but there were like legs kinda sticking out and it looks like the head on the right. Don't think I'll eat here anytime soon.
