Suki-Ya KIN (金)

Went on a Friday evening and opted for the premium buffet dinner. Unlike other Suki-Ya outlets, this outlet is very strict on its 80mins dining time restriction. So for slow eaters or chatty groups, please note your time :') Service staffs were friendly but attentiveness could be improve as our orders were forgotten twice in a seating.

Slow service save for a uncle Kelvin who was the only efficient and friendly one. Mediocre quality for the expensive ones. Sashimi didn't look/taste very fresh. While the first order was fast, the subsequent orders took a long while to arrive. Decent value if you don't expect the sky.

Decent range and selection of items, attentive service, though not sure if it's entirely worth the markup price. Has some meats, various vegetables and sides (meatballs, fried rice, pudding, fruits), seafood as shown below, and a small selection of meh sashimi.

Horrible service. Mediocre food. Sashimi doesn't taste very fresh. Meat breaks easily into pieces, and the fat distribution does not look very wagyu. Gyoza was ok. Karrage chicken was dry. Had to wait very long for the drinks. Charcoal also burns out quite fast so the flame wasn't very strong. (They did change the charcoal for us though, so I have to give credit where it's due.) Manager insists on splitting my friends into two tables that are seated very far away even though we were a group of 5, and threatened to kick us out because we went to ask my other friends what they want to order. This was not their exact word. Actually what they said is if we can't settle with the seating plan, they have other customers waiting so we can just leave. But we weren't really all against the seating plan either. We were saying perhaps we can sit separately but not so far away, so at least we can see where the other friends are seated. I don't really understand where did the manager's arrogant and condenscending attitude come from. It's almost as if I owe him money. Or perhaps I'm just talking to a Karen. The poor attitude really upsets me because I'm celebrating Chinese New Year with my friends and everyone wants a happy mood on such an important date. However, everything that I said about their food and service is true to the best of my knowledge.

For those ordering their delivery, I’m really impressed with how they packaged everything and the food was great! Really value for money. It doesn’t come with the pot unless you rent it. Really grateful for the staff that also checked in with us very quickly when they were short of an item. Definitely would recommend getting the delivery!

This outlet have better selection of vegetables/ side dish bar and sauce bar. The apps can order choice of Shabu Shabu meat, sashimi, cooked food and etc. The garlic rice is nice, fragrant and chewy. The seafood platter is fresh and taste good after cooking from the hotpot. Fish meat are firm and fresh.

We are amazed with the service and the quality of food. Awesome variety of soup base to choose from. We chose four types and it’s all yummy. Then shout out to the awesome service of their staff specially Uncle Kelvin. Highly recommended! We will definitely come back again. Good value for money
