Very much worth the visit. The thick chunks and the rich variety in the chirashi don makes it a really good dish. Rice is superb.

Very worth it to dine in during weekday lunch with the sashimi 1-1 promotion. Each slice of sashimi is very thick. Unfortunately, Maguro isn’t available so we had two rows of salmon (16pc) which is a tad of an overkill. The mantaiko chicken and salmon Donburi (8.80 and 10.80) are tasty as well. Prices on menu are nett ! Very value for money meal.

Situated at void deck.. Car park just behind the cafe is always full.. Advisable to park at the mscp across the road. Deco was kept simple and very japanese. Staff was a senior lady... I was surpised by her high level of customer service. Food was fresh.. Especially the salmon. Orion beer was $18 /3 bottles. Sake are available too. Plesse call as they are always full.

Place is rather pricey for a neighbourhood Japanese restaurant, located within the suburbs of Holland Drive. However, quality of the food is quite good. Cuts of Sashimi is thick and fresh, and the sashimi set was rather reasonable. However, some menu items commonly expected from Japanese restaurants were unavailable when my dining party visited on a Saturday evening, such as Chawanmushi, and Edamame. Do note that the restaurant does not have Sake as well. All in all a very decent Japanese restaurant, but they appear to be catering more to the weekday office crowd

Celebrated Father’s day with an omakase treat at GORO and all the dishes were superb! We were especially impressed by the scallop and prawn sashimi, which were very fresh, comparable to the standard in Japan. The portion of each serving were generous as well compared to other omakase I have tried so far. My family definitely enjoyed ourselves and we would definitely recommend for anyone to come down to give GORO a try. We have visited them a few times and the food has never disappointed us :)

It was said that they served good Japanese food. Half agree. Food was not too bad. We had bento too but didn’t take picture. The chicken was not so nice as it was not seasoned well and has the frozen meat taste. The salmon sashimi was cut too thick. My favourite is the salmon skin but not sure if it’s made in house. The ebi maki was good too.

Amazing quality for a neighbourhood eatery. That said, you’ll have to pay a premium especially if you’re not there for the lunch set menu. Every cents’ worth cuz the sashimi served is really quite a generous portion served. It’s also quality ingredients used. Only downside is that the rice used is not really premium Japanese rice you’ll expect from a Japanese restaurant, so that’s one star down.
